I just wanted to mention how awesome those years were as a 49ers fan. If you know football, when they announced that they hired Jim Harbaugh from Stanford, you knew that they made the right choice. Our 49ers were tough, disciplined, and didn't take crap from anyone. Teams feared us. Thank you Jim for those years, we will never forget. I'm drunk and legally high in Oregon, but really miss those teams lol.

I didn't include 2014 because Jim is too smart not to realize he was on the way out.

They were very fun years indeed, but the ultimate legacy is one of losing the big game in the most heartbreaking way in all 3 seasons.

Agree Woodall, but Jim did give us hope from the Nolan/ Singletary days
. I will forever give thanks to what Jim did for this organization.

Yes those years were great but expect some more great years under Shanahan and Lynch !! This team is on the uprising fast and hopefully do what Harbaugh couldn't and that's conquer the quest for 6 !!!

I appreciate Harbaugh and how he brought us up from the dark years. However it's just so hard to overlook how those teams shrunk in the big moments with the exception of the grab, they didn't deliver in the clutch very well unfortunately one being in the Super Bowl. The defense was great but with all due respect to those teams it didn't feel right being a defensive minded or defense first team. The last few years have been rough but I love how they're currently constructed now with a franchise quarterback and offensive genius leading the team, not to mention we're back to running the freakin West Coast Offense!!!

Yup the defense was dominant, would've won the Super Bowl if they just ran it, or even before the timeout was called they had a QB counter called where Kap would've scored on..yup it's would've could've should've but didn't..

There were various issues which never seemed to get resolved. I got tired of seeing delay of game penalties caused by delays in getting the play in from the sideline. Harbaugh's sideline tantrums left a lot to be desired. The trickle of leaks and rumors also was unprofessional. And the deliverate divorcing of the team from its history was unpleasant. So whilst it was nice to see the team challenging, the seeds of its downfall, with hindsight, were evident.

Agree, but I'll always be grateful, good time to be a 49er fan. We were relevant again.

That is 13 1st/2nd round picks, should have won at least one Lombardi.

F**king choking at the big moments and unfortunate bs calls by refs during crucial moments.
