Because Crabtree, Vernon and Delanie isn't enough to get over the hump?

Apparently, it's okay to make excuses for Alex Smith but not Kaepernick.

As someone who didn't care who our QB was because we were winning either way, I think we need to be a bit more fair, here. I just find it cute how 90% of the fanbase was onboard when Harbaugh went with Kaepernick and now 90% of the fanbase is up in arms saying "they knew" we should have stuck with Smith. It's funny to me.
2011-2013 49ers: the most boring playoff 49ers team ever.

I'd have to look closer to the game, but my recollection is that the Giants blanketed Crabtree and Williams rather well.

Smith, when throwing to Davis, Walker and Gore, was 11/17 193 yds 2 TDS. When throwing to Crabtree and Williams he was 1/9 3 yds. Smith's strength that season (and arguably in his career) is throwing between the hashmarks to his TEs and RBs, though the last couple seasons in KC he improved throwing it to his WRs. Kap definitely had better balance in this regard in 2012-13, but he came with his own drawbacks as well that became illuminated starting in 2013.
FU Kyle Williams
1/13 on third down (the 1 was meaningless as it was a completion to Delanie as time expired in regulation)

1 completion to a wide receiver, and it was to Crabtree for 3 yards on 3rd and 5

Anthony Dixon being stuffed on 3rd and 1

Getting the ball with 2 minutes left and all 3 time outs... and going 3 and out on 3 incompletions

I'm gonna have to start happy hour early today
Miss all those guys n love those years, more so than the Mooch/Garcia/TO years.
I loved the Swag of the team and hated the Lag of the offense

F**king choking at the big moments and unfortunate bs calls by refs during crucial moments.

The defense didnt show up

Jed didn't make the payment, 2011 & 2013 NFCC's we're stolen.

After that 2013 NFCC I started looking at the NFL completely different. It's entertainment, not a true sport. You can still find that video on YouTube showing all the blown calls and how the game was basically given to Seattle. Fact AFL/NFL were created by gamblers for the main purpose of gambling, to this day gambling influences outcomes.

yep
That saints game with the Brees sack fumble where the refs called roughing the passer and as a result seattle got home field adv instead of the Niners. That was the difference between a sb

Also the giants championship game was a joke. Bad calls mainly the Ahmad Bradshaw fumble by bowman no call. That was another appearance against New England. We schooled the pats in December at foxboro too.

Aside from Aldon smith and Justin smith injured in the playoffs, it was a perfect storm for our opponents.

This team was absolutely stacked everywhere except cb. We are headed back now with a much better qb and management so hopefully that will be enough to win 2 more sbs in the next 5-6 years!
