Better to alienate your FQB by constantly reminding him he was not the first choice.
Do you really think JG is so insecure that he is reading articles like us fans, then sitting at home with a box of tissues fretting about how he's going to win Kyle's adoration? Or fearing he's second best? At worst he's pissed and will be determined to prove Kyle he's the best QB.
You don't get to be an NFL QB by being an insecure little child-man, he doesn't care about this stuff, I would put money on that.
Well then there is no need to butter up Cousins.
I think it all would have been better left unsaid. I would prefer to believe that Shanahan knew better about Cousins and JG.

Like the dying Pharaoh uttering the name of Moses ... lol.

I don't think it's a big deal. The entire nation knew about Kyle and Cousins, it wasn't an unknown secret. Any QB in the NFL knows that he's competing with other potential QB's out there in free agency and the draft. Like right now BeatHard is potentially competing with a guy that's going to come in possibly via draft. Every QB has their head on a swivel, I don't think it's a big deal to either Kyle or Jimmy.

LOL! Yes, Lynch was just crushed because his HC admires a QB he helped select and then worked with. Just too much goofy here not to smile!

Jimmy, 'I tried to love him and please him in every way, but often times... he still pine for his old flame. On occasions, I wonder if I'm wasting away in this relationship. If only he sees me for who I am, not for whom he can not have, he would see how wonderful our relationship could be...'
Lynch,'Let me talk to Kyle.'

Are we really believing any of these fantasies that NFL QBs have worse emotional insecurities than a 5 year old girl? Only in the webzone could that be an issue lol.

This lol. QBs have to be the mentally toughest guys in the nfl, they face the most scrutiny for everything they do. If jimmy can't handle kyle liking a player he has coached before, then he shouldn't be in the NFL. Jimmy knows he is the man in SF and nothing that kyle said indicated that he would swap jimmy for kirk.

kyle got mancrush on kirk is no secret, everyone was expecting we'll try to get him. But nfl situation changes so quick, there's no guarantee kirk will come to sf.
after few games jg play, kyle completely forget about who kirk is.

Why are we even worrying about Kyle liking KC? If anything, how much he's gushed on how bad he wanted KC should be more gravy on the Jimmy G train. That Kyle saw what he saw from him and it caused him to move on from KC after having coached him for 2 years is impressive in only 3 games. Not only that, but to commit the franchise to him for 5 years with what is the biggest contract in NFL history.

Offseason + usual pot stirrers. No rational person is worried.

What stands out in these plays—CJ Beathard. Some nice placement of the ball
