What stands out in these plays—CJ Beathard. Some nice placement of the ball

Most of those were Hoyer...

Yep. I think that was the point. Imagine what Kyle can do with Jimmy, and what Jimmy can do in Kyle offense vs Hoyer.

It'll be interesting to see how that develops over the season. If Jimmy G is in tune with the system then it could be a big season for us.

Never slam a door if you can keep it open. Down the road Kyle may find a time where he needs Cousins, so why alienate him by saying anything but "I really wanted him?"

No. It's over Cousins will never be here.

Shanny is just mourning because his master plan got tinkered with. Coaches can be a little obsessive. He'll live.

Shanahan may not be here next year! Life is full of uncertainty!

Shanny hearing about the Jimmy trade while thinking about Cousins is like trying to fap with your left hand.

I foresee more production in all phases of the offense. McKinnon and Richburg will fuel that. 49ers got healthier when the QB was able to rest the defense and not put his pass catchers in injury danger because of a QB throwing late, and opposing defenders teeing off on them.

Yes! From watching the few games JG has started it looks like he could be much better than Ryan...let alone Hoyer. If he is...yowza! Perhaps they should trade back and up for take four or five of the best OL they can get! Let's protect that FQB!
but just my opinion, the best way to protect a QB is the defense protecting a big lead and QB has to operate his 4 minute offense. It's rare for a QB to get injured handing off to an RB as he plays keep away protecting a lead.

Good read.

Shanny won me over. I like him a lot.

Nice! Being a football fan is way more fun this way.

Technically you're right but I don't think a coach wants to say just in case I get fired for incompetence down the road Kirk I still love you.

I just think he's being honest yeah I wanted Kirk as plan a, management brought in Jimmy and that worked better.

so very much football sense in this post. you can see how shanny is starting to rebuild and reshape the offense. lots to look forward to next season and beyond.

another excellent football knowledge post!

those insisting that the only way to protect JG is to draft OL--and more OL--and still more OL--should stop and consider what you say here. imho.

Yes the 49ers should always play with a big lead that way they don't need to throw at all. Too bad all games start 0-0.
