Harbaugh would neuter Jimmy. If it's not there take the sack. Sure it wouldn't be the elaborate and sophisticated offense (that struggles to score) of Kyle Shanahan, but he also wouldn't allow Jimmy to be a back breaker the way Kyle does.

Don't have the 2011 defense to hold everyone from scoring or giving us great field position. Neutering him would just cause more losses.

Harbaugh back in the league will be like Mooch in Detroit. Theres a reason he's staying at Michigan.

Our defense has been better than our offense under Kyle also. Look at the Broncos game, that's a win under Harbaugh.

HE HAD MAHOMES AND WATSON RIGHT THERE ...HE CHOSE NOT TO GET EITHER
I WAS SCREAMING FOR WATSON

That said, don't just read the headline, read the actual piece. There are other issues at work as well, but I would consider this to be part of the issue to be sure.

Script the entire 17 weeks plus playoffs. It's a 3 month offseason.

Kyle could have drafted Mahomes, Watson or waited to sign Cousins

The excuses are ridiculous. It's not a coincidence that Jimmy looks good, then bad. Shanahan has no frigging clue about in game play calling. I remember watching Bill walshs offense, and of the team started out slow I always knew there was a good chance of a comeback because of walshs genius adjustments and in game playcalling.

I have zero faith that Shanahan has that ability. Zero. Regardless of qb.
What about when Deberg was the starting QB.. did you love it then ?

"In 1979, his only full season as a starter in San Francisco, DeBerg led the NFL in completions (347) and pass attempts (578). He ranked fifth in the league in passing yards (3,652)..."

Wasn't terrible. I mean we aren't talking beathard or hoyer here.

Might need to add more with how our defense is laying… it was suppose to be "playing" but laying is right too.

Bill Walsh on DeBerg: "He plays just good enough to lose."
9ers desperately needs Armstead back asap, or go pick up Suh already at least he can be a temporary band-aid.. without Armstead, the run D sucks, the pass rush sucks, the LBs suck and the secondary sucks lol... the whole D is downgraded and sucks, not championship no more especially with Eman out for the season 🤣

As for the offense it ALL starts with and pretty much ends with limited bonehead Jimmy, it can only be as good as Jimmy at QB1 not much you can do or improve there.

Haha. I heard a commentator also note he scripts the first 12 plays coming out of the half. We used to be really good last year but not this year. Last year, we were awesome in the 4 minute drills and those aren't scripted at all. But not this year.

Sooooo

Crock and Panelli said he's a really good play designer but not an in-game play caller.

That has Greg Roman feel to it to me.

DeBerg had his best year with Walsh. Same player. Different coach. Different result.
