Cousins is the not the way I would go. However, Cousins is the safe way to go if you believe your head coach can't draft and develop a young QB.... there seems to be a passion in becoming the 2013 Redskins that is simply mind boggling.
If we get Cousins in the offseason its not because Kyle cannot draft and develop a QB. Kyle played a role in drafting and developing KC.
Like I said, people just looking for reasons to complain. I visit other teams sites from time to time and see the same sort of dynamics play out. There always seems to be a small group of extremely negative people that hate everything about their team.
I've been there or close to it. I really didn't like our 2015-2016 teams. Especially 2015 Kaepernick/2016 Gabbert. Nor did I like Tomsula or Kelly. I didn't like Baalke either. Maybe some people are just fed up. Who knows.
When we hired Shanahan and started fresh at QB it was a real fresh start. We REALLY hit the reset button. I told myself I'd give it 2-3 seasons. About 2 seasons before I celebrate or complain hardcore either way. With 30+ new guys (many short term guys) I'm aware of the fact this roster is in flux. That it's a newborn baby. We simply can't judge a product that's not close to being finished.
I'll have a more critical eye after the 2018 draft/free agency. I'll be very open to criticizing Shanahan and Lynch if they botch the draft or don't get a viable QB in here.
