Yeah now I get the whole GTD in March thing, it's only if he makes the Pro Bowl.
I'm still blown away we have $67,644,954 left!

Yeah me 2, after signing Jimmy, Kilgore, Marsh, Gilliam, and Sherman, but before Goodwin, which is either a little extra signing bonus proration, or a GTD roster bonus.

So nice...but now an edge rusher or two...or three!

Also remember that my $67M doesn't include money that can be saved if we cut Beadles, Tomlinson, Ward, Robinson, Jones, Harold, etc.... Cutting Ward saves $8.526M in cash, around $8M in cap due to top 51 rule, would really offset the Sherman signing money wise this year.

Great news, AB.
Is it June 1st for the Ward cut? Do we have any info on an upcoming physical?

It has to be before The 14th, so I'm guessing no news is good news then?
I think we wont sign another CB, but we'll draft one between 3rd and 5th.

This is why, having the ability to front load and incentivive deals puts us in the driver's seat.
From MMQB:
Seattle, interestingly enough, wanted the first right of refusal on any offer, and so Sherman called Seahawks GM John Schneider. Sherman said Schneider told him, "Incentives [are] a little rich for me." Sherman called Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie, who said he wasn't going to have the cap money to compete for him. And Sherman called Detroit coach Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn; incentive package too rich for Detroit's blood

Yes it is, but i didn't realize exactly where RS is on his rehab schedule. Based on that we need a starting CB...still. No wonder the contract was so team friendly. IF...IF he rehabs back to good Achilles health, then we got a steal. If not, it was a relatively inexpensive gamble on some potentially superb talent. Potential is the key word here.

I'm on the cut Ward train. He's been inconsistent and gets injured often. We can save the cap space and draft a replacement.

Getting Sherman takes Ward and Josh Jackson off our draft board I bet. Only way I can see us landing Jackson is if we trade back in the 1st.
