And here is our ammunition:

Cap wise, the 49ers have around $62.5M in cap room this season, and around $61.3M in 2018 with a $178M projected cap.

$123.8M to work with!

Seeing how this team has been spending over the last few years under York and Paraag would it be safe to say we'll only use about half that amount?

By only, you mean $60M+ Which is a crazy amount. I wouldn't want them to spent just because they have it. They should continue to carry on wisely while we're trying to contend so we can add that missing piece or two we'll need later

That sounds about right esp. if they can lock up Cousins and they front load most of that to keep the cap hit lower in subsequent years. We'll have total flexibility.

When you factor in their biggest needs as highlighted above, you can spend that half pretty quickly on a FQB, ER, CB and 3 OL in FA.

Then on to the draft for ZWR, LB, CB, LB, etc.

Thank you kind sir. Keep watching each week on the game planning. Kyle is really expediting the growth of these young players. If they can arrow-up for the year, we'll have some real pieces to build on.

And don't forget this pool waiting in the wings as well. There might be a few more here:

DE Ronald Blair (designated to return)
DE Tank Carradine (designated to return)
WR Aaron Burbridge
G Joshua Garnett
LB Jimmie Gilbert
CB Prince Charles Iworah
DB Chanceller James
DT Chris Jones
DB Don Jones
LB Donavin Newsome
CB Will Redmond
LB Malcolm Smith
RB Joe Williams
CB Asa Jackson

2017 Practice Squad:
QB Nick Mullens
RB Jeremy McNichols
LT Darrell Williams
RT Pace Murphy
G John Flynn
ZWR DeAndre Smelter
YWR DeAndre Carter
TE Cole Hukutini
DL Jeremy Liggins
CB Jarnor Jones

Is there anything we don't need?

QB sucks
RB probably leaves in FA
WR Garcon and trash
Oline sucks
Dline minus Dfro sucks
LBS minus Foster sucks
CBs trash

I guess werw solid at K and P. Tartt and Ward are decent

I have posted this numerous times. The 4 premium positions for the NFL are as follows- reference is bill walsh's book
1. Franchise qb
2. Stud pass rusher that OC's fear
3. Shut down corner that can play man to man shutting down one side of field
4. LT to protect qb

The niners only have the LT and that one player is aging. So until the above are cornerstones and franchise talent, especially the qb, the team will never be competitive.

Yeah, we've got a lot of individual pieces to start this rebuild but outside of special teams, no complete units yet.

Agreed. Those 3 by far and away are our top 3 priorities this off season...and every season until we find them.

Totally calculated.

Witherspoon is next. By week 6, aside from BeatHard, we'll have had snaps for every young player. Tape on young players = experience and tape for the coaches.

Old regime beware.
