Word I feel the exact same way.

Welcome to my world, remember when Baalke got all the credit and Harbaugh was the evil coach who was trying to take the 49er organization down.

Yeah as Mike Mayock said on NFLN during the draft, GMs can't just lie and play poker. If Lynch told Chicago he had other offers then that's what he had. Mayock said if you lie word gets around and you f**k up relations with all other teams. No way in hell Lynch set Chicago up since all Chicago has to do is call up whatever team and ask if they bid for SF's pick.

I think Niner fans just want to pat their GM on the back, which is fine but please let's wait until the offense picks.....

Bro I was right there with you. That's precisely why like a battered wife I will trust no man again, in this case, GM again. I'm waiting for his offense picks to truly see if he's another Baalke or not.

Maybe I'm getting more stupid by the day but can Niner fans explain why they think losing a handful of 3rd round picks to move up 1 spot and take the QB they want was such a bad move for Chicago? Are people really forgetting what the Lambs gave up for Jared Goff??? What the Eagles gave up for Wentz??? Both teams gave up multiple picks and actual first rounders. Who gives a crap about 2 3rd round picks if you're Chicago.

The point is they didn't need to. He was gonna be there at #3 for them anyway.

exactly. its not rocket science

That trade was a complete win-win for both sides. Bears paid very little to draft who they think is a FQB. We got picks for free. Really good deal for both sides.

Honestly they didnt know that...lynch said we were open for business. More than one team could have wanted Mitch including the browns.

#Bears gave a 3rd, 4th & future 3rd to move from No. 3 to 2. In 2012, #Browns went from No. 4 to 3 for a 4th, 5th & 7th for Trent Richardson

The price was high for the Bears because allegedly, they were bidding against other teams that were vying for the #2 trading spot.

KS can focus on the job of coaching, knowing he is going to get the groceries he needs to cook up the stew.

It all starts with the two of them trusting each other. Shanahan will have plenty of time to talk to the press when the season starts. Right now the news is the draft and that is largely a FO function so Lynch is the natural face of that.

That's true

I love it...you could see Kyle perk up when talking about Trubisky but this draft was all about BPA and defense and that so happens to be Lynch's area of expertise. Once the offensive players come down the pike, Kyle will perk up again and take more lead.

This is a defensive draft overall and it's a good thing cause we had a horrible one last yr. we got a top end offensive mind that can run a pro offense so that alone is a step in the right direction.

I'm hoping for some offensive players today and tomorrow and I'm sure they will attack the offensive side as well.

Imo teams overdrafted offense in the top 10...they will be going defense today and we will get some solid offensive guys because of it.l

That's how I saw it...sure Bears fans and some pundits may paint it as a disaster for the Bears, but if Trubisky is the guy they really wanted, then I don't really see it as "they got fleeced".

It's a deal where Bears ensure they got the QB they wanted when they were certainly worried someone else was going to jump ahead of them, and Niners got a nice haul just to move down one spot. Of course if Trubisky is a bust then it will look bad, but for now does seem "win-win".

Lynch said himself that there were other offers for the pick. Even if you think he's a liar, the Bears gave up very little to get their QB.
