The main point is having successful drafts is the best way to build a roster. This regime for all its faults does have a good track record overall.
Bosa, Warner, Kittle - all HOF level players
Purdy, Greenlaw, Lenoir, Hufanga, Deebo, Puni, McKivitz, Jennings, DJ Jones - all really good players drafted outside the first round.
I still believe by far our biggest problem was Trey Lance. We took a shot with minimal info given the covid season and really blew it. Thankfully landing Purdy in the 7th helped easy that f up but it cost us a lot of depth pieces that could've been added.
Also our philosophy in 2022 and 2023 was terrible and they admitted to it. Going into those drafts thinking we don't have a lot of holes caused us to make some really poor choices. Ironically they're the same drafts that helped the Rams rebuild their roster. We have 1 starter from the 2023 class and it's a guy we're all afraid to see on the field. Meanwhile Rams have 5 starters from the same class. One of them is a top 5 player at his position in Puka. 2 are excellent players for their DL(one of whom was drafted the pick after we selected Ji'Ayir Brown) we drafted Robert Beal 4 picks ahead of Puka. Very frustrating...
Good track record? Thats laighable. Lymch needs to go.
