And that was on Trent Williams. He's gonna feist on our soft, light, finesse, average OL.

Lol that was the 1 play he made all game. Not saying he isn't a great player, but no need to be scurred

Honestly, he beat the s**t out of Trent Williams the entire game. Purdy just kept getting the ball out quick. There's one rep where he made Trent Williams cross his feet and had him looking like Jackie Chan from Drunken Master--something I've never seen another end do. All you need to know was that Kyle was giving Trent help with Kittle. When do you ever see Trent needing help?

If I'm the Rams DC, I wouldn't waste any time lining him up against Trent next season. McKivitz is food for Myles.

I'm ok with it, we also don't have to play against Verse, who I thought would be beasting against us for years.
Garrett obviously is way better than Verse, but I don't see the difference as a game-changer.

One more year guys one more year of this clown

We have had these 2 clowns for almost a decade.

And they've been one of the best teams in football for almost a decade.

Lol this. What an idiotic post, but par for the course

Shanny ain't a clown, dude a genius, lynch is just an analyst pretending to be a gm, 0 experience and it shows in his god awful drafts

What about his great drafts then? What about his great trades? He's not perfect, and I have my criticisms, but the hate for him is a tad much

Idk if I'd boast on his trades 😂 if it wasn't for the diamonds in the rough we've landed later in the draft his track record is really bad. I'm "eh" with Lynch, anyone thinking we should fire Shanahan are either trolling or just don't know ball

I'd absolutely boast about guys like Williams and CMC. Also not interested in "well if it weren't for this or that" or any other excuse why he lucked into making good picks , f**k that, he made the picks and they were great and has led to sustained success.

That was when Myles Garrett was still in his 20s, young and spry. He's 30 now, I doubt he'll need to be double teamed anymore.
I always think it's hilarious whenever another team especially a divisional rival makes an aggressive play for a player, etc. the Niner fans just freak out and automatically call for John Lynch's head like he hasn't built a roster the last eight years that has competed for Super Bowl chances almost every year. if it wasn't for multiple self defeating plays in those Super Bowls we could've been a 2x SB Champs. I think this has been arguably the best off-season John Lynch, and company have had since being the GM. They have revamped the D line the last two off-season's with five young exciting talented D-Linemen, traded for Osa Odighizuwa and brought back Fred Warner's running mate Dre Greenlaw. I don't think we are close to being done this off-season. Historically speaking John Lynch has always been adamant on making trades, etc. the trade for (Trent Williams, CMC, Emmanuel Sanders) even the Bryce Huff trade looked great when he was paired up with Nick Bosa. I still thoroughly expect us to make another at least two additions before training camp whether that's through trade or free agency. I highly doubt that this roster that we currently have as of June 1 will be the team that we go into training camp with. I wouldn't be surprised if we make a trade at some point this month so everybody chill the hell out and wait and see what happens. I expect a great year from this team this year. most excited I've been in a long time.

Verse is being underrated in this thread, IMO. While Garrett was ranked #2, Verse was #14, right in there with Maxx Crosby. Verse is 25 versus Garrett at 30 and 10 years on his body.
Some of you guys don't undesrstand.

Even if Trent can block Myles 95% of the snaps in both games at the end of the season the Rams will win 14 games and they'll win the division and that means the 49ers will have to play on the road in the playoffs and we won't win 3 road playoff games.

This trade just made the Super Bowl impossible for us even if we go 1-1 against them.

I think it's not that Verse isn't good. Clearly not the case it's simply how good Myles Garrett is. I understand Verse is a young edge rusher who should be good for a while and his sack totals don't do justice with how disruptive he's been for the Rams but Myles is on another level.

My only hope is the improvements we did make and the coaching we have allow us to do enough to edge them out when we play them. Myles will get his…just about trying to make more plays than the Rams and coming out with the W.

The games still need to be played. I'm sure a lot of people thought the Packers were contenders after they traded for Micah Parsons.

We all understand. However we have no idea what will happen. Myles could blow out his knee in his first game with the Rams. Stafford could take a hit that messes up his back to the point he's done playing. We've seen it first hand ourselves. Things can change quickly.

Still have to play the games.

I've been a fan of Verse since he came out. He is a damn good player, but man, he is so one dimensional as a pass rusher. If that bullrush isn't working, he struggles so bad. I think it's difficult to predict how his game will age. I think he's more of a glue guy that the quintessential centerpiece star player.
