They do every year (injuries). maybe not to this level but god isn't everyone tired of telling everyone (friends and non-9er fans) It's the injuries year after year.

I agree with your take on Lynch's bias for a Safety that can play down in the box and tackle versus a ball-hawking true Free Safety. I would like to see us grab one of those in the draft. That having been said, I do think Safety has perhaps the least influence on the overall defense.

Yes, everyone is tired of the team being in the top 3 of total games lost to star players due to injury.

I still believe we had a Super Bowl roster at the beginning of the season. Credit to Shanahan, Lynch, and the staff.

Of course, even with recognition of all the injuries, someone has to be the scapegoat, Maybe that will by Lynch, but I would be very surprised if that would to happen.

Look around the league at the many pro observers who credit the 49ers for accomplishing so much despite the injuries.

Yes, to say it again, I am tired of blaming it on injuries...because it is the truth.

This is his final year on his current contract? Hard to imagine he gets extended

Teams have windows when momentum is on your side. You literally need to strike when the irons hot. Eventually you loose that window, players leave, age or get hurt. You begin to pay too many too much and unless you do a dramatic turn around you go into decline. I feel we're at that state where decline is inevitable unless something dramatic happens. We're like the Bills who've probably need to fire their HC to get over the hump before everyone on their roster starts asking for top tier money.

Everyone has known for years that the Bills are Josh Allen and no one else. They remind me of the Bills before Phil Jackson. The team needs players elsewhere and not past their prime guys. Also as long as you have a top QB, you are in the mix. As banged up as we were, we were in the mix until the very end for the number 1 seed. Future looks bright but we definitely need some stars under the age of 26 if we want to be contenders past 2026.

That's basically replacing most of the players. There is no confidence in Lynch to bring in the right personnel.

Actually its not- it's adding to what we have. Bosa and Williams are starters. They aren't being replaced, so any help added are rotational guys. I like Collins and West but we need another interior player. At safety, that actually is a replacement because we need a true FS. At corner, we could improve at the number 2 spot. At linebacker, I'll guarantee things would look a lot better with a vet making the calls. On offense, we need receiver help period. Add in some speed/number 1 receiver. And of course a LG and C.

We are plugging clear holes, not replacing everyone. We have guys that would be more effective on offense with more speed on the outside and better run blocking.

0 impact players under 25. At some point, this falls completely on John Lynch. I really love the guy, but man, this isn't acceptable.

Last years draft was crazy because we targeted DL who can't pass rush and DBs who can't cover

I don't like judging rookies until I've seen them in year 2, so I'm still in a wait and see mode in regards to our young talent.

Hoping that the injury issues this year forced them to grow up quicker and we'll see the benefit next season.

We need an actual GM. Lynch is a good public relations type of guy.

That's a big concern Tbh with players such as kittle, Trent and CMC that are gonna need replacing sooner than later and with an OL that seems average at best.

Biggest issue with this FO is the constant reaching for prospects who are consistently projected to go rounds later. We force ourselves to draft for need vs focusing on getting impact players
