John and Kyle better take f**kin notes.
Top tier OL and DL above EVERYTHING ELSE.
Hurts has all day to throw while Mahomes is under relentless pressure. No one, not even he, can transcend pressure like this. Makes Darnold not look as bad when he got sacked seven times in a half against LA.
No QB can overcome this. So get us the best OL and DL and we'll be perennial Super Bowl contenders.

John and Kyle is stubborn, well mostly Kyle. DLine will most likely get upgraded because of Saleh. Oline not so much because of Kyle.

At the offensive skill positions, we are pretty good. Only thing I can see is a TE. But said player will only play so much. There's no excuse not to visit Oline twice by the 5th round. And if you take the full draft and UDFAs into account, I'd say 3 or 4 players.

i just don't see myles garrett. brock needs a new deal. i think we get dre done, so we pay 2 off ball linebackers, and we pay nick about the top D player salary, and we pay a lot of guys on O also. also i question if garrett would want to go to SF. he wants to win and be on a contender. that's what's sorely lacking for him. we won 6 games. in his mind, KC would certainly be more of a contender for a ring. in anyones mind really.
naah, Dre's contract should be affordable (everybody is talking something around 6M in a 1 year prove-it contract) and next yeaar the salary cap is going to explode after finishing the COVID corrections. Sign him now and backload the deal.
Besides, if they sign Garrett they can cut both Lloyd and Gross-Matos (both don't deseve the 10M they are due next season). It would save 16M. That's almost what Garrett would earn with his current contract and close to what he possibly would earn with a new one (if he signs a new one).
I think it's possible to have Brock, Bossa, Garrett, Warner, Dre, Ayiuk, Kittle,.. long term with the awaited cap explosion. They will certainly need to cut some more players and sign cheap players in FA. Fortunately there are some very good and very cheap players in this next FA.
Floyd has been solid. What do you think you should get get for a 10 million dollar edge rusher? If Floyd is our no. 3, we are in great shape.

There was no excuse last year passing on double dipping in a stacked IOL class. Glad we picked Puni, but we need more.
Definitely need to overhaul LG, C, and RT. We don't need any more skill positions.
We do need S and LB so I am OK with those spots.

Chiefs took Suamataia. Didn't do them a lick of good.

Excellent point. Ironic that the thing that killed the Chiefs 3 peat bid was really their OL and they took the guy lots of us(myself included) wanted and were upset the Chiefs stole him from us.
Of course doesn't mean the kid won't be good moving forward but this SB had some interesting things to learn from it.
1. Mahomes may be in GOAT talks when it's all
said and done but he can't make magic happen when his OL is having issues and the receivers aren't getting open.
I recall people trying to blame Purdy for the 3rd down OT play being a throw away claiming guys like Mahomes still make that play…didn't seem like it today.
2. Eagles building out their trenches in a big way and then sprinkling in talent around them is a recipe for success even vs elite QBs and coaching.
We're not getting a Mahomes so gotta try and replicate what the Eagles did. Kind of crazy they've done it twice now and beat two of the best to ever do it in the playoffs in Brady and now in Mahomes.

Both SB losses for Mahomes he had terrible OL play. Not a coincidence.

I like how Howie Roseman kept throwing bodies at the DL( and OL) even when it was already a position of strength. The Eagles had Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Josh Sweat, Haason Reddick but they kept adding guys like Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Jordan Davis. Now, the latter guys are old and gone, and the young guys are the core.
49ers really to take notes because they let the DL fall apart. The group is old, mediocre with no young impactful talent whatsoever.

Last draft and this draft should be a good one, in that we can pick up a stud in almost any position in every round

Yep - tons of people here b***hed at always drafting DL.
Truth is if you don't win the SB everyone hates the team's decisions because that's the easy thing to do.

Eagles got to offload some players to get premium picks. We seem to hold onto guys too late to get those picks unfortunately.
Also once again the Lance deal really hurt us but also missing on our early OL/DL picks.
Thomas and Kinlaw basically being just depth pieces sucked. McGlinchey was definitely not worth 9th overall and didn't even see his 2nd contract here.
Hate to say it but gotta give Eagles credit for hitting on their premium picks…even tho these last few years it felt like the draft fell perfectly for them.
Carter pick was obvious. Mitchell and DeJean picks were pretty damn perfect for their needs too.
Rare to get that lucky. We need that to happen!
