Are you kidding? This is so much more fun than previous years! At least we are relevant again. I like the FB, LB and WR signing. Not crazy about Hoyer, but I'll reserve judgement until the draft and Cousins situation. Loving this off season.

I think Hoyer is a great signing. Either he starts while we groom a QB of the future or he starts for a year until Cousins becomes a FA next year. Or ....it makes the Niners less desperate for a QB and less inclined to give up too much in a deal now for Cousins.
Either way, its a smart move by Shanahan and Lynch.

I remember watching Hoyer play for Shanny in CLE thinking I wish we had a QB like him over Kaep. Hoyer is a good QB, enough to get us to the playoffs.

Reid might have to stick since we're not as deep there. Brock, on the other hand, is stir fried meat once we (I hope) acquire A.J. Bouye...

AJ Bouye looks to be headed to Philly or staying in Houston. Much rather sign Dre Kirkpatrick and save some of this cap space.

Bummer, but the bold is still solid so, that's fine with me. I'd be stoked either way.

I kinda feel the way you do with the Peka / Poe rumors... I'd be satisfied with Peka (pretty solid) to save cap...

I hope we take a chance on Josh Gordan next if he is reinstated.. with the Hoyer signing i think we draft Watson at #2 and let him play backup for a year.
So we're after Poe?

Man now I don't know how to feel... this is exciting but is there a such thing as buying too many pieces?

We need all the help we can get.
Ask the Giants who went 11-5 last year

Would you rather us not spend the remaining 80 mil in salary cap?

He's probably praying real hard for us to consider him (once reinstated). If we acquire him, Shanny might be able to shape him up... he'd want to retire in Cali (land of great bud).
Is a one-year deal with Poe acceptable? I feel like since we're not a contender it would be a waste, though I suppose it could give us the upper hand to sign him long-term.
