The good thing about good players is they make other players around them look better too. I think a few nobodies on this team might show up next year.

Yup. I'm pretty stoked so far. Goodwin adds legit depth, then theirs Kerley, maybe Rogers. If we get Davis / Williams in the draft, we'd be pretty solid in that unit. Pryor would seal the deal.
I like it. Grab a Seahawk. Seems like every year they grab two or three of our former guys.

What is unreal is how some people in here are b***hing about the moves. Hell, we just got a solid WR that immediately is our #1 threat, a speed burner, the top FB in the league, and a good stop gap QB until we sign Cousins in the off season. I would say that its a good day for the Niners.

Most productive Free Agency since 2011 or 2012 when I think about it. People will never be satisfied with less than big name signings, but piece all these guys together in addition to a solid draft...the Niners should be heading back in the right direction at least.

Thats a really good point. We saw Pete Carroll do that with the Seahawks when he first got there. They were literally making a thousand moves a day, just cycling players in and out. Made guys compete. Massive overhaul of the roster until they pieced together the team they wanted. When we're 2-14, a total gut rehab is in order. Shanahan and Lynch understand this and are wasting no time. They know how they want to rebuild the team.

Yup. And those nobodies are probably solid on a good team, but when you play next to garbage all the time, you'll probably play like garbage a lot...

LOL!!

They are so done... it seems that Shanny has their number. They barely beat our 3rd string guys, and now we're acquiring legit talent

Are you kidding? This is so much more fun than previous years! At least we are relevant again. I like the FB, LB and WR signing. Not crazy about Hoyer, but I'll reserve judgement until the draft and Cousins situation. Loving this off season.

I had to check my phone to see if I had a missed call from John Lynch... I was a little disappointed when I didn't. I must be like one of three guys left on the planet he hasn't rung.

I think Hoyer is a great signing. Either he starts while we groom a QB of the future or he starts for a year until Cousins becomes a FA next year. Or ....it makes the Niners less desperate for a QB and less inclined to give up too much in a deal now for Cousins.
Either way, its a smart move by Shanahan and Lynch.

Hopefully Lynch will start to release or trade some players, like Tramaine Brock and Eric Reid.
