We got a mobile QB. He doesn't need a good OL. Only statues need a good OL

if he stays, he plays

Not necessarily. Shanahan historically has no problem playing a younger guy over a vet with a big salary if that young player is better in his mind.

See Joe Burrow. And kyler Murray. I don't care of you have Lamar back there, no qb can transcend a s**tty oline. Even mahommes.

Very nice. Just make sure to trade those 3rds into multiple 5ths, and we're cooking.

So, our official pick list currently is:

2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7

Ten picks total until Jimmy gets dealt. Lots of ammunition to either trade up or stock up on areas that still need depth or starting competition.

C/OG, OT, WR, TE, DE, NT, S, CB

We should have plenty of resources to address the majority, if not all of these needs. The most pressing in my opinion are the offensive line, pass rush, safety, and insurance @ tight end due to Kittle's style of play.

If we fail to trade JG, they may resign him to a new much more cap friendly deal and trade him later when an opportunity presents itself. I can't see them just letting him walk.

I see probs with this such as:

A) he would have to agree to the deal which means he agrees to a pay cut. he may just flat refuse which would be his right.
B) not sure the terms of this deal but one of the attractive points is he has no future deal so a new club could structure a new deal however they like in agreement with JG. We would basically be handling the new deal part how it is best for us and not giving the next club this opportunity.

It wouldn't be a paycut but a restructure the same amount of money that would move money down the line which any future trade partner would pick up in the trade. so we can not go over the cap and free up money for immediate use.

Good call Jose.

Mahommes didn't do well behind a crappy OLine against the Bucs. There's the proof.

It feels like he's really messed up the situation with Jimmy. Should have traded him whilst we could, now we'll be lucky to receive a 5th at best.

Give a 5th and Jimmy for a kicking tee!

This is getting embarrassing.

Not sure I follow how would you restructure a one year deal? My understanding you can restructure a multi-year deal, basically kicking the cap can down the road to future years of the deal by paying out in signing bonus and spreading over the life of the contract. Would need a multi-year deal with JG to do this which we don't have. I assumed you mean extend JG and back load the deal to give immediate cap relief to us, this would be a whole can of worms.

I must admit reading all these temper tantrums has been quite amusing.

The coach/GM are not without fault and not beyond criticism, but it's always the same butthurt fans that think they can manage the roster and coach the team better than the professionals because they didn't sign/draft/trade for who they wanted, that are the loudest.

Rightfully so? Gimme a break, they completely rebuilt this team and went to a SB and the NFCCG in 2 of the last 3 years.

As FL said, they are not without fault or beyond criticism, but the method to their madness has turned this franchise around.

people and fans have a right to be upset with the way they have handled this jimmy thing. they also find a way to lose winnable super bowls and title games,. this franchise was not created to finish second or third, do not get mad at me for saying that,, you talk to the creators in eddy and ouiji board bill walsh
