So he'll take Baalke's spot at the Glory Hole parties now

I was afraid of this, first time GM turned "Yes Man", towing the company line and stroking Paraag already.

"I don't think it's going to be a big part of what we do..."

Translation: Paraag, Hampton and their team of analytics can f**k off...

...but I do need them for contracts so I'll play nice

His perception of trustworthiness is already in question?.... Not a good way to start your career.

I swear, if some just random person read Ninertalk they'd swear Paraag is some sort of super villain with powers n stuff.

He is look at the love spell he has on some of these posters they can't keep there minds off of him!! ha ha

I hope Lynch gets in the Hall of Fame and Shanahan wins next week. How's that for street cred for the two new guys?

Kyle winning will attract more FAs and assistant coaches to come here. I hope the Falcons find a way to blow out the pats, and out-scheme them.

Absolutely, you'd have a Super Bowl winner and HOFer at GM paired with a Super Bowl winning coach. That's as good a sounding tandem as it gets. I'm already pumped to watch this Super Bowl, and will be rooting hardcore for the Falcons to take home that trophy.

Yup me to. I hope Atlanta puts up big points on the Pats D. Anything to add to Shanahans credibility coming in the door. Go Falcons!

Hopefully we see the score 49-26 Falcons over Cheatriots

49-16, as in #16 GOAT.
The General Manager job is a job of judgement. All GM's have personnel people (and analytical people) advising them. To think that a person in personnel but without a record of having the "trigger" is going to have better judgement is baseless and without evidence.

John Lynch has the intelligence and background to suggest good judgement. He's got the reputation, connections, and gravitas to be successful.

Kyle a Shanahan is the smartest Offensive Coordinator in the league.

I've always loved the 49'ers since Walsh because we flat outsmarted people. We haven't since Walsh.

We're Back ! Look out, league.

I'm sure if Atlanta loses 45 to 41 he'll still be just fine. That score is very possible btw.

That is my take on him too. Also by admitting that he was testing them for notorious leaks shows the the shoe is on the other foot here. I am starting to love his kick ass ways.

But what if it's because ATL was on the 1 yard line, with a minute left, and decided to throw a pass that got INT'ed?
Analytics are a wonderful tool but I think they may have led the 49ers to some poor strategies over the past few years.
Philosophies I hope are gone with Baalke:
BPA philosophy regardless of team needs
Avoid drafting a QB early because it might turn out to be a mistake
Value drafting (ACL picks are a product of this)
Hoarding salary cap money when the team has so many holes

We don't want no Seachook plays here man. Lol

I'm confident Shanahan would not call up a pass in that situation...or if he did it would be to Julio Jones who cannot be covered in that situation.

Oh Please. "I've got to make my own judgements, and I've always tried to do that".

John Lynch just got Paraag Marathe demoted on the organizational chart as he's no longer above the General Manager. He's being nice! You don't rub it in when you win. He's a sportsman, and he knows this.

Paraag is a contributor to the York's constant losing and running the franchise into the ground. How could you see him as a "Great Asset" to this organization?

The salary cap space we have right now isn't a good thing unless you use it correctly.

We have had all kinds of salary caps space and high draft picks for the majority of the time that the York's have owned the team and we only got three good years to show for it.

And those three years were all due to Jim Harbaugh!
