The media and fans that are laughing now will not be laughing in the future and I'll tell you why. John Lynch may not have front office experience but what he does have is credibility in the NFL with players and front office guys/scouts. He will get free agents to come to San Francisco and will surround himself with very talented scouts and personnel guys in the front office. I'm willing to bet that George Paton would't have gotten permission from John Elway to interview and hire Adam Peters from the Broncos.

Can't compare football to basketball lol.
Besides, Jed already hired and fired his Steve Kerr.

Asked if he reports to Paraag Marathe, John Lynch says he reports to Jed York.
Like that
That is odd considering Marathe runs Football Operations, there must be a dotted line reporting structure to Marathe.
Maybe it's really PM after a trip to the Face/Off machine

#49ers GM John Lynch wants to bring on "Players that live and breathe football and want to compete"
Sounds like something Harbaugh would say
That's GREAT! I believe Lynch will be able to do what NO ONE in that FO can do. That is get into the mind set of a person and know if they "live and breath" football the way a GREAT player does.

Covers so much.
- 49er brought him in as a consultant and he was brutally honest with them and their drama
- Consultant became a hire
- Understands limitations
- Carries credibility around the league
- THEY had to convince HIM of the job
Saw the interview. That was a gentle spin by glazer. To say that Lynch was in the room just b******tting and all the sudden he's the GM? Yea don't buy it.

Steve Kerr surrounded himself with the asst. coaches he wanted. He made that decision and I am sure Lynch and Shanahan will do the same thing. There will be experience in the front office and on the field

In this, there is NO Doubt in my mind ...
It's done in several aspects and arenas in the Real World, why not in the Sports World !

I'm still bothered by this. Jed saw how Baalke did with the previous coaching staff. How can someone in the proper state of mind think those few season's of winning had to do with Baalke??? My god, can't get over it.

It'd be funny if the franchise actually had majority ownership of the WZ.
