The entire secondary minus Sherman is full of talented young players that are all regressing or not developing. That's on Saleh.

LOL. Doesn't your very own example speak more to coaching and development than players?
We definitely need upgrades with position coaches on the defense. Our DB's have poor technique. Donetell was an exceptional DB when we had him. Fangio was a great play caller and yes I know he had major talent. Still need coaches to put them in a position to be successful.

If we had 3 Deion Sanders and two Ronnie Lott's our defense would still get burned until we get a pass rush. I'm shocked people don't throw on us more.

Not to say they can't improve. Not locating the ball in the air is a bust.

Kap is NEVER coming back here. In spite of whatever Lynch may have said for public consumption about players kneeling during the anthem I get the impression that at the end of the day he is probably a pretty straight laced God, flag, country sort of guy. I don't think it is any accident that the three players who were the most visible in their anthem protests, Kaepernick, Reid and Harold are no longer on the team.

Goodwin knelt with Reid and he's still here...

He may have, I don't recall. I know a lot of players on the team knelt at one time or another but my comment was limited to the three who were front and center most of the time. I don't ever see the beginning of the games so I don't know if it is still going on. But those three were the "ringleaders" and now they are gone. Just saying.

Lol I see how I worded that. What I meant is our players haven't learned the system it isn't Saleh.

As funny as that is, it's prolly true (doesn't seem like they want to come to Alviso)

This is sad but true. We could've had Josh Gordon but I have a feeling that the trouble with Foster caused us to shy away from the possibility of more trouble. However we could've still gotten him

Good point, now we have settle with s**tty nice guys at reciver when we could've had an "a*****e" stud. Thanks a lot one-armed Reuben

Who's done little to nothing since he was traded.

If the players haven't learned the system in two off seasons and 1.5 years of actual games, that IS on Saleh. 100%.

When you constantly see players pointing and confused pre and post snap with badly blown coverages and a complete regression in defense from last year (PFF: 70 to 53), that's a pretty good indication of a DC and coaching staff not properly preparing their players.

It's highly unlikely every single player in a simplified defense suddenly became mentally incompetent.

Another veteran on the block: Niners receiver Pierre Garcon. He's banged up right now (shoulder, knee) and 32 years old, but he could certainly still serve a contender in a complementary role down the stretch. Safety Jimmie Ward (playing on an $8.5 million fifth-year option) is another one who's been involved in trade discussion, but my sense is the Niners would need to get something significant to deal him.

Lol "significant" da f**k? Give me a 6er and some beef jerky and I'm good.
