Dude he is NOT worth a 4th rd pick...I watch Applesauce get burnt weekly

In the same token I am watching Witherspoon and etc... getting burnt on a weekly basis. Not saying Apple is the solution would just like to see a little interest in upgrading the spot by our GM if possible before the trade deadline. I am believing at this point Lynch is in the mindset of the season is a wash and no need to make a move right now. Which is true the season is a wash.

McGlinchey / Richburg? Tried with Cooper. They certainly did not neglect the need.

Did they try with Cooper? Haven't seen or read anything on this. Just asking.

I believe the issue with Cooper was he never was healthy enough to show in pre season. He tried but it was obvious he was still coming back from injury. Too bad really. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Make sure we are talking about the same guy. Amari Cooper?

And this is the mentality I'm talking about. The FO seems to share it.

While this is year 2 of a rebuild or this year is a wash or X,Y,Z, it should never preclude you from adding young talent to your team unless the cost is too much (i.e. Amari Cooper for the #1 overall pick).

This team is devoid young core players AND veteran leadership.

You need to add bricks 'when' they are available even if it doesn't follow your 6 year plan esp. when you finally get a FQB.

Not even remotely enough.

Nope, Jonathan Cooper the OLman. My response was to addressing protection for Jimmy. I suppose a legit wideout might do that too Whether he is a legit wideout is for another discussion.
You guys do realize Jimmy G hurt himself because none of his wide receivers can get open, and he tried to do too much himself.

Should have ran out of bounds
One person on the 49ers sub had an interesting idea:

Malcolm Smith and a 4th round pick for Vic Beasley.

Beasley has been playing out of position in Atlanta since his 15.5-sack season, and Atlanta needs a LB. Kyle says he doesn't want to mortgage the future, and this is far from mortgaging the future IMO. I think this is the kind of trade we should be making.

First, no way ATL makes that deal.

Second, hasn't Atlanta has been playing Beasley at edge full-time? They run the same scheme as us. How would he be any different here? Beasley is one of those edge rushers that's overly dependent on his athleticism. He tries to out-athlete tackles, and it's not working.

They've been playing Beasley at the SAM. When he had 15.5 sacks he was playing edge.

Go ahead and change the 4th to a 3rd, or trade Solomon Thomas, I guess.

Are you sure? I haven't been following the Falcons recently, but they moved De'Vondre Campbell to SAM at the end of last year. He was there at the start of the year. He plays SAM in base and Mike in nickel.

this is exactly right.. fine. we were told its a three or four or WHATEVER year rebuild,,. but to me.. that totally changed or should have changed when they got a franchise qb,. that time table should have automatically been bumped up and that means spending your money to protect your qb and enhance the weapons. fine they over paid but got jet. but with the wide outs. i think they did not do as much there along with a second tight end.. everything changed or should have changed when they got jimmy. the ,,. this is a long process does not apply
