Most of these guys were low end roster backups. You know, the kind of players every team picks up when they are trying to reshape an entire roster. Are you really drawing the line at a guy at the bottom of the depth chart like Powell?

I get it. But this franchise is supposed to piss excellence. That is the standard.

This franchise has made the playoffs 5 times in the last 20 years. Before 99' they made the playoffs 15 out of 16 years. And the year they missed the playoffs, in 1991, they won 10 games.

Add in the fact Sleezy York ripped everyone off on PSL's and built a s**t stadium. Add in the fact most of all our young players have REGRESSED. Add in the fact we drafted 3 1st round D lineman who all play the EXACT same position. Add in the fact our coaching staff can't get the players to execute basic football fundamentals such as tackling and taking care of the football. Add in the fact we had opportunities to land a top 2 defensive player in his prime and a legit top 10 playmaker WR, but didn't. Add in the fact our defensive coordinator still can't figure out how to pressure the QB or get the secondary to play their assignments correctly, after 7 games. Add in the fact our head coach/offensive play caller can move the ball virtually at will (minus turnovers) but can't execute in the redzone.

So yea, I can understand why fans are f**king pissed.

But hey, George Kittle is good and our Oline is better. So there's that.

All of them are low end at this point...unfortunately (because of poor talent evaluation), they were / still are being counted on.

I agree with you, I'm tired of the Yorks and I wish Uncle Eddie could get the team back. We stall in the red zone because we don't have the right personnel yet.

I sure as hell didn't want us to give up our number one pick for Cooper, but I think he would've made a great addition. I just don't want to lose the best coach we've had in 20 years besides Harbaugh.

Well we passed on players who could be long term contributors because of their faith in marsh. Kyle is on record saying we didn't go after any edge rushers because....




The rest I agree with. They actively tried to find starters and future players at the those positions in the draft and FA.

Good thing is our d is so pathetic they'll score enough with OBJ and Barkley to win. We'll help them out with a few dumb turnovers too, our pass rush sucks so bad we'll make their garbage oline look good

I do not agree that winning would hinder the teams rebuilding but I totally agree that Niner fans are the most crybaby fans constantly looking for someone or something to blame for the team's failure and never having any answers as to how to get better other than to fire someone because quote " they are trash".

I only meant hinder as in draft position, so we can choose the best ER available. I think Kyle and John are doing a great job, but I do think Kyle needs someone for DC that can run the full defensive side themselves as well as be an assistant HC kind of like the Rams. Would be awesome if Dan Quinn were to get fired and become our DC but I doubt that will happen.
