The worst part about it is nobody but us care. I mean I'm sure the coaching staff cares but that's about it. With the news of Aron Lynch's 4 games suspension for PEDs which I'm sure he takes for a bad back because he's constantly overweight it just removed our best pass rusher for a quarter of the season. I'm tired of looking at the glass half full that's all I've done the last two years. All that's happened is a mass exodus of semi talented players with no attempt to talk them into staying. I'm done with the FO show me something. Erik Pears, Reggie Bush, Brandon Lloyd, Jerome Simpson, Erik Pears!!!!! A bunch of crappy injury riddled OL drafted who have amounted to crap! Jim Tomsula the plumber! The 49ers are my passion and Jed was off to such a phenomenal start but let his ego get in the way. What does he have to change? Nothing his team is a cash cow now vaulted to the top 10 most expensive franchises in sports. I know the kid wants to win but does he want to win more than turning a profit? What did they do this offseason besides hire Chip Kelly which is definitely a step up or 10 from Tomsula but without the players what's it matter? Krap and Gabbert are still our QBs and there were no additions besides Beadles, a guy from the CFL and skill position players that aren't exactly eye popping. Another ho hum Baalke draft! Our OL, QBs, WRs, and LBs still lack just like last year. Isn't the point to improve the weak areas. Nope let's draft 50 CBs! Pretty clear to me this year will look a lot like last year maybe just not as boring. Wow that's really great. So little to look forward to. We are going to suck and still probably won't get a QB next year. Baalke who I am sure will still be around will probably draft a top 5 safety. Crap!!!

Hmm. I certainly know how I feel about rooting for the tam to lose to get a better draft pick. There are always those that do.

More like half-serious....Foles threw 27 TDs, and 2 INTs that year...kind of far fetched to expect that from Gabbernick, but that's just me doe!

I feel more positive than last year at this time when you had Tomsula as coach and were pretty sure that was going to be a train wreck along with the entire front office in denial about the team.

This year regardless of your feelings of Kelly at least he's head coach material and the offense at least won't be putrid and will be watchable. And with the front office it seems they've come to grips that it's not a retooling or that the team needed a culture change but it needs a rebuild. Yea they are never going to use the word "rebuild" but based on their actions everyone in the house knows that this upcoming season is lost year and will be used to implement and build Kelly's system and roster needs.

I don't expect the team to be good but I do expect them to at least look like they know what they are doing out there and at least trend upwards.

We will probably suck but at least we will be better than last year. I just can't believe that Chip Kelly could do any worse than Jimmy T.

All we can do is hope. I go into each season with hope. The fact that Baalke didn't spend much in free agency does bother me though. I mean yes people would have criticized him for overspending for guys but it would have gotten talent on the team who would attract other talent. The tides have turned in the bay area. Oakland may have overspended but that roster is loaded and playoffs are in reach for them.

I agree. I think we got a big upgrade at HC. Hyde staying healthy is key for the offense. It probably won't translate into many more wins, but we'll be much more competitive week to week. I'm guessing we win 6-7 games and watch some entertaining football.
