Let's face it, we have no idea what's really going to happen.

I know, apoplexy would certainly run rampant. I can only dream. As a fan having an unexpectedly good run would make me deliriously happy. Trent staying would be ok... but seeing the Boo Birds gag on it would be as much fun as winning.
How many wins did the Eagles have before Chip took over and turned them into a 10 win team? Why not the same type of turnaround with us?

Nick Foles > Gabbernick

They actually had talent on offense and played in a weak division.

Well maybe, but mainly they had a good deal of poorly coached talent just sitting there when he walked in.

Yep, but the coaching changed. Interesting how that can make a teams talent pool suddenly look better.

This. Nobody knows or has a clue one way or another with such a small sample size (NFL snaps) to work with, new coaching staff, new scheme, new QB battle, new draft picks, etc. No clue.

Yes, the PROBABILITY of us struggling through a rebuild year (year 1 or 2 depending on your perspective) is more likely than not. But no sh!t. That's the same as saying we have a high probability of making the playoffs when we had a top roster too.

When you factor in all of the youth and low snap counts towards their career thus far (basically, last year), the SOS, travel, QB battle, overall age of the roster, new HC, new systems, the time it takes to install new systems, unknown about O'Neil, etc. the chance of us being a 5-7 win team is highly probable...but that doesn't mean we'll, "suck" --- it just means we shouldn't measure success this year on W-L's given the aforementioned and most seem to have pretty realistic expectations this year as a result.

All these factors COULD end up being a great thing in the end (blessing)...we travel the most and we play the toughest teams. As a result, this young growing team, if they are to be successful, MUST learn to bring it every week and learn how to win on the road, in non-ideal circumstances and learn to play very consistently (whether away or home).

They are going to lose some battles this year, no doubt, but hopefully, that means they win the war in the future.

Even with all that said, this is the NFL and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if we were scratching at the door of the playoffs, even at this juncture. The NFL is just odd that way.

We had talent in 2010 and went 7-9.

Kelly came in and showed off the talent that was there in philly. I dont see that type of talent on offense here.

lol
Honestly, I think this team will surprise some people and that isn't necessarily a good thing. I think they'll win enough games to knock them out of the hunt for a good QB prospect in the draft.
