This plus the fact that they hosted a high school game and then had 90 players training on it, too much for any natural grass.
If they keep practicing on that field and then I will blame York. At least Harbaugh had the balls to say no to York and pull his players off that death trap.
no
Bring in George Toma as a consultant, if he's still all there at 86 he will fix the problem.

Lol, sarcasm...or you believe this.

Jed is on top of the food chain....just like any top business man they are more concerned with the results and not concerned how his employees get them...unless they are unethical

Water isn't an issue - they use grey water (second-use water).

There's plenty of grass growing just fine in Santa Clara. It's C-A-L-F-O-R-N-I-A. Artificial grass grows works just fine in Green Bay, Chicago, Boston... it shouldn't have these problems in Northern Cal.

They need to fire the people who installed the field and hire any company that can do it right.

This. There are pristine golf courses and baseball fields in Arizona. I have no idea wtf the deal is.

If the Cardinals can freaking grow grass outside in a desert and wheel it inside, then whoever we hired is a joke.

Excellent call!

Totally unacceptable.

AZ field today is way better then the first year and had similar issues.

Takes time, the dirt used to be on top of a paved parking lot
If you can't hire competent people to plant and maintain grass...put in fake. Tired of the mess.
re-post:

They need to find the right mix of turf and get better root growth. Looking at the pictures I would say they need fairway grass more than putting green type. They just need to figure out the right mix.

This is the type they are using now:

"TIFWAY II is the next improvement over Tifway and is said to have a better resistance to nematode infestation and can stand the cooler temperatures. It is not as durable as Tiflawn and like many of the improved Bermudas takes a good maintenance program to keep the lawn in a-one shape."

This is the blend they reference.

"Tiflawn is an older version and was developed for lower growing ability, denseness, good texture, and like other Bermudas grows fast and repairs quickly and this makes it an excellent choice for athletic fields, lawns with high traffic areas and parks. And like the majority of the Bermuda grasses has a good tolerance to drought.
