Never.
Water isn't an issue - they use grey water (second-use water).
There's plenty of grass growing just fine in Santa Clara. It's C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A. Artificial grass grows works just fine in Green Bay, Chicago, Boston... it shouldn't have these problems in Northern Cal.
They need to fire the people who installed the field and hire any company that can do it right.

This. There are pristine golf courses and baseball fields in Arizona. I have no idea wtf the deal is.
If the Cardinals can freaking grow grass outside in a desert and wheel it inside, then whoever we hired is a joke.

Get some people in here that knows what they're doing. Obviously, who's in charge now, doesn't know what the hell is going on.

Both the head greens keeper and the owner don't know what they're doing.

The only thing the owner can do in this situation is hire/fire. I guarantee J. York doesn't want field issues as it in no way benefits him. But it's not like he can sprinkle some fertilizer on there himself and fix it. The only thing he can do is raise hell upon those who are responsible to do the job.

It's not fertilizer, they are trying to get to fancy with the drainage.

Whatever the issues actually are, my point is that York isn't educated in turf science and able to hands-on fix it himself.
