I know that Wilhoite played a lot last year, and Bow is going to be back, but ILB worries me the most.
Our D-Line, CBs and OLB seem to be pretty stout.
Which position do you think is the deepest? DL, RB and OLB are like 1, 1A and 1AA. One could even make a stronger argument for S and CB as well. I tend to look at the types of positions (like the X, Y & Z...look at starters at depth).
Which position are you concerned with the most? If CK goes down, perhaps QB but it sounds like Gabbert is making some nice strides. LT and C look good for depth and experience. LG (if Boone doesn't outright win that spot), or RG and RT (if Boone doesn't outright win that spot). Probably RT right now.
I know that Wilhoite played a lot last year, and Bow is going to be back, but ILB worries me the most. Not too worried there here either unless Bowman is hurt. ILB is by far, the easiest position to step in a produce big numbers and we have veterans for depth there.

... OL - most proven so I rank them 1st
WR
RB
DL
LB
SECONDARY - ?????????????????????????????????? this crew can be as bad as the Bruce Thornton, Shawntae Spencer, Tony Parrish & Mike Adams secondary and only as good as Middlebroks, Spencer, Parrish & Adams..

Wait what? Do you wear reverse glasses? Are you saying you are least worried about OL but most worried about WR, RB, DL, LB and esp. secondary?

Not NT?? C'mon thl this is Mangini's defense now and NOT Vic Fangio, didn't Mangini run more of a two-gap with his DL?? I just don't see any D-lineman that can last the season at NT along with playing a two-gap.

I think, well, hope, what we're going to see this year is a lot of rotation on the DL, kind of like the Giants during their Super Bowl runs... I think I remember them rotating about 9 guys in and out on theirs. We're definitely deep enough at the position.
It really comes down to Bowman's leg. That was a horrible injury. I just hope he's at like 80% of what he was, the more, the better.

I don't know if Mangini ran a two gap NT. I would look more to his time in CLE and NYJ than I would with NE, but I have no idea because why would anyone watch CLE and NYJ games back then?
I have questions about DE because the 49ers lost two excellent run stopping DEs in Raymac and Justin and are replacing them with guys that have never been starters (I don't see Dockett as a starter). They might be able to do the job, but this will be their first season doing it. If they are running a two gap system with the NT, then yes I would some concern whether Ian/Dorsey can handle the task, but I am most concerned with DE.
