A good question is who are your 7 Inactives if everyone is healthy?

I would say a WR, RB, OL, Armstead probably not ready, Acker, and idk who else, wow tough one if that's the roster.
With Dorsey still hurt it might make sense to keep a 7th DL and move Millard to the PS.

Wow. Man. I'm sure it would change based on who we play but damn, that's a tough one. There usually is about 4 or 5 that remain Inactive all year.
Why wouldnt you put Okoye on the practice squad. He has 1 year of elgibility. He was on the IR his first year.

Purcell will make the team.
A RB will be traded or cut. Most likely it will be Hunter traded to a team hurting for a RB.
WR White will be stashed on the PS if he makes it that far. If he makes the team Simpson will be cut. They are too redundant.
Wright might be cut. He sucks and the young players shown that they are better than him.
Have no idea how decisions will be made...Dorsey as backup NT? or do the keep Purcell? Millard as FB, TE, HB? Bell as 3rd QB? I believe most positions are coming clear, but there are still some openings...bubble players in (parenthesis) unlikely to make team in brackets [cut/PS]--

QB: CK, Gabbert
RB: Hyde, Bush, Hayne, Davis (Hunter)
FB: Miller, Millard
LT: Staley
LG: Boone, (Tiller)
C: Kilgore, Martin (OG), (Looney)
RG: Thomas, (Farrell)
RT: Pears, (Brown, Devey)
TE: VD, (McDonald, Bell, Celek) (Anderson on IR) super competitive spot!
WR: Boldin, (Patton, Anderson) (Smelter when healthy), [Campbell], [Blakeney]
WR: Smith, (Ellington, White) (Simpson after susp), [Jacobs], [Hull], [King]

NT: Williams, (Purcell)
DT: Dial, Dorsay, Carradine, Dockett, Armstead (Jerod-Eddy), [Ramsey], [Rush], [Okoye]
ILB: Bowman, Willhoite, Moody, (Wheeler, Bishop), [Bellore--unless ST]
OLB: Brooks, Lynch, Harold, (Lemonier, Lemon, [Beauharnais]
S: Reid, Bethea, Ward, Tartt, (Dahl, McCray)
CB: Brock, Johnson, Acker, Reaser, Wright, (Comartie, McFadden), [Hicks]

  • Most compeitive positions-TE, RB, DL (starters set but backups?)
  • Most troubling positions-RT, ILB (need someone to step up, stay healthy and take the spot next to Bowman)

^^^ dtg_9er, you can remove Carrier now.

Which poster are you speaking to?

Yeah Okoye has a real legit chance of making the 53...so does Purcell. If so, a WR or RB is most likely coming off the board.

White's been killing it in practice but is he a gamer?

Wright and his contract will not be cut. How about Dres?

I'm with you...could see Hunter and Celek on the trading block.

I'm kind of with you on Hunter. Love the guy, and he's had flashes of brilliance, but I think he's a real strong candidate for a trade. Hyde, Bush, Davis and Hayne seems like a quality backfield. Unfortunately Hunter is probably the odd man out.

I also think Patton will be a candidate for a trade as well. I absolutely love him, but I think Ellington fills a similar role and is a bit more dynamic if he can get healthy.
Why are u guys so high on Dres Anderson dude hasnt shown anything since like Mini camp since we put the pads on he has been either hurt or just ineffective. Who cares if his daddy played in the NFL that doesn't translate to any success. Honestly as of right now i wouldnt even stash him on the P.S. not deserving at all. I rather keep someone like Marcus Rush or Kendall Gaskins or even Marcus Cromartie on the P.S. over this dude.

Okoye makes the team...lemonier gets cut
Whoever plays next to Bow needs to be good on first and second down and only. I think Wilhoite or either of the guys who started the game against the Texans will be serviceable. That's all they have to be. I look forward to seeing this team out there with 6 dbs and see what comes of it. As it has been said over and over again on here, the ILB position that Bowman doesn't play is basically a defensive fullback. He does not need to be this atletic freak. It's a bonus, but not needed to have a great defense.

Dres Anderson is a technician in his route running with a high ceiling and he catches everything; he hasn't gotten the press White has though but he's right there. My guess is that he's right on the bubble as well...could remove him for Okoye, Tiller, Purcell, etc. But with Simpson out for 6 weeks, it opens up a chance to keep him on the roster and then when Simpson comes back, move him to the PS less detected. He'd most likely be inactive anyhow but this would be a good way to stash him while continuing to develop him IMHO.

Hahaha, I know right!? We still have a few weeks...long ways to go. Lemonier has that inside track on depth at the SAM thanks to Aldon but last year we kept 7 DL and right now, there is an internal battle between Okoye, TJE and Purcell. Like Brown just said, it's going to kill him having to cut some of these guys b/c good players are about to go to other teams.
