I know, it does seem that way! i was fed up with him but I always said. IF he decides he wants to be a part of the team, then I will give him the benefit of the doubt. i always thought this place was the best for him. it was just up to him. with the team waiting to take a qb in the 6th and i see that kid for what he is. a 6th who will be a good camp arm and maybe develop into a respectable back up down the road. but back to ck, if he wants to stay I am ok with it. He has alot of work to do but if he wants to be a part of the team, unlike davis, i would accept him into the qb competition. Now i would feel a helluva lot better if he came out and did a interview saying he wants to be a part of the team. but for now i will go by what is being done and that is.he is on the team. he was at camp so we will see. he has not pulled any dip s**t anthony davis s**t in regards to tweaking or tweeting his team mates..... also I have had serious issues about his leadership but a poster blindfury swayed me to have a open mind on that as well

Thats a myth. Gabbert was sacked 9 times against Cleveland. The O-line wasn't better, Gabbert was just a more aware pocket passing QB than Kap.

Gabbert was captain check down that don't make him a better QB the offense was still horrible that's due to coaching it was a terrible decision by management to have tomsula as coach.

they were both bad but gabbert was slightly better

when kaep was qb we were bottom 3 in points YPG red zone appearences red zone TD % first downs

our offense was just flat out horrible


no doubt kelly is the better coach especially offensivly and i can make a legitimate argument for both wrs but im certainly not excited about our qb situation

Right and we were headed there in 2014 and 2015 right, under Kaepernick? LMFAO! Lets rebuild the team, let the new coaches see what they can do, and then evaluate QB play. Kaep looked good with a very good team around him, Gabbert has never had that opportunity. I am not prepared to anoint either one as the next QB of the future. I am just hoping who ever is under center isn't an embarrassment at this point. Kaeps strengths are not something I count on in Kelly's quick offense. Gabbert hasn't proved anything yet. Both of them need to prove themselves this year.

Getting the crap beat out of him on a horrible team. What would Kap have done if he played on those Jags teams? I think we got a glimpse last season.

What was Blaine doing while Kap was doing all of this?

That is completely immaterial to the question at hand which is who will be the better choice to move the team forward this year, not based on their past performances but based on who they are right now as players. My hope is that it will be Gabbert, because I think he might be the better option. If Kaepernick wins the job in camp then so be it. I just hope that the decision will be based on merit, not because his coach has a hard on for his "potential", which has proven to be something of a myth.
