For the record, Kaepernick is not arrogant. I've been told withdrawn, shy. But not arrogant.

That is what I get from him .. socially akward, shy. With the fame heaped on him I am not sure he every felt comfortable. Never handled it well.

He only seems that way in media interviews. Has no trouble socially.

And what's with the 'your (sic) the joke of the league'? Who says, besides you?

I have no proof, but I believe it the reports now. Every single rumor that was reported about trades. Guess The only one that came true. Vernon Davis an our team. It's a team full of backstabbing rats an JT is right there. Yes he is he joke of he league as is our team. He's an extension of York an Balkee. Since the York has taken over we have had 5 winning seasons in 15 years. 3 of those were Harbs who he has tried to erase from memory.

Every single report that comes out happens like clock work. What a pathetic organization of Rats

Yeah he will have so pretty good value in the off season and I think you could get more for him (if they go that route) after the season.

he has a team friendly contract, I wouldn't ask for anything less then what we trade Alex Smith for.

ITA with this. Teams know it's not a money issue and they're getting a bargain and won't have to deal with big legacy contract. This not only worth a high pick but pickS.

Nobody is giving the 49ers pickS to pay a bad QB 12 million next year. They probably get 1 pick

A lot of teams might just think our awesome coaching staff and OL is a good reason for poor play.

17 QBs will be making more cash then Kap next year....QBs are not easy to find and teams that don't have one will give up more than you think.

We will find out. If we get a 2nd, I think it will be just 1. If we get lower pick it might be more.
Happy birthday, Kap! By the way, YOU'RE FIRED!

I agree. I don't see the value here. The tea leaves are pointing towards getting cut in the offseason and CK resigning but only in a backup QB role. The damage has been done. There's an outside chance that he could land in Buffalo but that would be after being cut and he'd definitely have to restructure.

Colin had his shot. At the end of the day there are too many weaknesses to overcome. He'll be lumped in with guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett etc.

Totally disagree did Fitz,Hoyer,Mallett go to the NFC championship twice and a SB? That goes a long way in the NFL.

He has a team friendly deal which doesn't leave a team with a long commitment and if he does get released then those teams that might want him will have to fight for his rights in FA.
Not when you are 2 to 3 years removed and have regressed to playing the worse football of your career.

Enough teams will blame the convoluted mangement and coaching discord that Kaepernick will find a new home should the niners look for a trade partner.

A couple of things here. Kap came into the league as a dual threat. It took the defensive coordinators awhile to figure out how to stop Kap. But once they did figure out how to stop him, Kap was essentially done. Plus Kap played behind a top 3 offensive line and benefited from a top 3 defensive squad. Fitz, Hoyer or Mallett would have done well with the 49ers just "game managing".

For whatever reason, the current version of Colin Kaepernick is not the same guy that he was back in 2012. Teams have adjusted. He doesn't possess the all around skills that the elite QBs have ie if you take away A....I'll beat you with B. Colin will always be limited.

disagree on the top 3 OL stuff, they were never good at pass blocking....so they figured out Kap, but not Cam or Wilson? No one has completely figured out the duel threat QB they figured out he isn't as good against zone defenses vs man to man.

They stopped calling plays like in 2012-2013 that made Kap successful, maybe it was Kap who wanted to become more of a pocket passing QB or the dummies making the calls this year.

Put him in a offense that spreads the field out (like Seattle or Philly) with a strong running game he will be just fine. Play actions, roll outs, options reads and he can be very effective. Our coaching staff couldn't coach their way out of a paper bag lol.

The ONLY reason I want Gabbert in there is because it will result in a higher draft pick and a coaching change....rip it off like a band-aid.

I think he will too, but I don't think we get the same mount of picks and value we got for Alex Smith. Alex's value was at an all time high. Kap's value is at an all time low and teams know if he isn't in our plans that we are on the hook for $12 million next year unless we cut him.

we will see Alex Smith had a bunch of horrible years and one decent one and we got 2 2nds....

But we had already replace him with a QB on a rookie deal. Alex's salary wasn't going to hurt us. We are in rebuild mode, Kaps 12 million would be useless to keep around if they don't plan on starting him.

Not sure about that. I remember a story on him a year or so ago where he was out and about in the mall. He wasn't comfortable with everyone coming up to him. Even his early interviews. It seems very nerdy in them.

He wasn't really statistically worse in 2013 or 2014...teams looking for a QB will look at SF's team as a whole as well and how they think they can make him better.

There are reports of teams already interested in him

Doesn't mean anything until you make a deal.

That's not my point, Alex Smith got us 2 2nds even after playing bad for most of his career.

He wasn't playing bad the 2 years leading up to when he got traded though.
