Yeah that'll be a good one but one more year of seasoning more than likely for Williams JR.
I think 4 reserves will be Laken, Magnuson, Shelton and Gilliam.
What y'all think.

They let Kilgore, Beadles and Fusco leave so they must have some respect for the remaining players. I hope they prove you wrong and we have a young line who can play together for years to come...Staley being the only guy in his 30s.

Mobile OTs on each side of the line will allow for this type of play to either side.
3rd & 1 (#31 is Mostart)

Fake the dive to pull in the box defenders.

WRs with crackbacks. Staley pulls.

Easy +16.

Dtg, they did let those three leave(by our request) , but i don't think they were good enough to be on the team to start with. Those 3 guys were done, and keeping them around was just a false sense of security. If we had them, well, then we had depth. Problem was none of the three were really NFL starters and none could protect our QB. When he became our FR QB...that was a different scenario., and we don't want to have someone in who we are counting on for protecting the FRANCHISE when they really weren't dependable blockers. So i was glad to see them all go.
But all that means to me is that coop, magnus, Laken, and Garnett are better blockers. That doesn't mean they can block however. We still are in the dark on that score. I sure hope that kyle did a better OL job this yr than last. Because the guys he put out there were in the interior line were awful. We still have 3 of those guys, none of which got much PT last yr....aside from laken. And he wasn't all that hot either. So still big ?? For us at OG slots although we know our Center is going to be light yrs better. He HAD to be. I am hoping at least one OG can block decently and Richburg can help out with the other OG iif he is inadequate. Wow, what on earth did we take Kentavius Street for in rd 4 with 2 OG slots definite question marks? I still don't see that pick. Shoulda woulda coulda been an OG. i hope our current OGs don't perform like our OGs last yr. Yet we have nobody at either OG that has proven himself. Maybe Laken has some merit. I hope so. But wow, what a leap of faith, especially after bombing out on OL last yr by KS and JL. Mmmmm.....you want a weak link? Well here it is.

Paso, the team won five game to finish out the year with inferior OGs. Now they have an upgrade, even if it's marginal. I have little doubt that the offense will be better next year and with JG at QB run blocking becomes more important...his quick release will help out the pass protection. But...we will know when we know! As they say, that's why they play the games!

Roger Saffold really took off there from sounds of things.. Jamon brown was an ex 2nd rounder, probably average but still might be worthy of an extension which is good for us cause they're cash strapped. Their RT Havenstein might be average too but also might need to be extended, both FAs along with Brown. Saffold might need an extension soon as well, rams bound to f**k themselves possibly.

Young, and athletic, able to get done field on running plays, able to block well on roll outs and bootlegs....I bet we will be a wicked screen team as well. The weakness asi see it will most likely be in seven step drop, or holding pass pro for extended periods.
I imagine the coaching staff will play to their strengths and limit the exposure of weakness.
Some one posted a 1994 game as "LT retirement" is you haven't watched it, you should. That offensive line was amazing. Pulling, folding, and getting down field.
Madden flips out about it while calling the game. Kyles dad was the OC, I believe Kyle was a ball boy for that team...it could be a preview of what our run game will look like.

Andrew Whitworth (Left Tackle) made all the difference in the world on that O-Line. Also they signed a veteran Center (Sullivan) who played well for them last year.

I am glad they let em go. they were garbage and despite what some thought. jimmy did not lose his mind cuz they dumped kilgore. i just wish we had a couple more guys in here for competition. to me we are building their success. jimmy success and the team success on alot of wishing and hoping with sexy guards and hoping that said wishes come true. and before someone rolls out.... well we can not have all pros at every spot.. i do not think it is unreasonable to ask the team to bring in another two guys to compete

over simplification in my opinion. they are not us. our guards as doc said are totally unproven. no one proven. a total leap of faith

Except Tomlinson started all last year and is in line for an extension if Lynch is to be believed. He started 32 straight games in Detroit in his first 2 seasons.
Cooper also started all last year for a decent Dallas squad.
If by "proven" you mean lived up to their high draft status, then clearly no. But if you mean they aren't proven starters in this league, you're incorrect.

I know that just trying to make a point. Some dudes on here think our oline is crap. Yet if you compare it with some top nfl teams from last year it actually looks pretty damn good. Jmo
...this is a young group!
