Like I said try to stick to facts. In my opinion Harbs was thrown under the bus by his owner before the 2014 season even began. But none of us really know what happened.

Liked: Him hiring Harbaugh, getting new stadium built.
Disliked: Firing Harbaugh, rolling out the "winning with class" pablum.
TBD: New coaching staff...it did appear to be a lot of "settling for less", but not going to freak out before they've yet to draft a player, have a minicamp, or play a real game.

Man we need to stop pretending like Jed was always winning and then Harbaugh came in and messed it all up. Because let's not forget that Jed is the same dude who passed up Tomsula for Mike Singletary!
Thanks Jed.
MS was assistant HC
Who the hell cares what Mike Singletary was prior to being promoted, Jed made him the Head Coach because apparently he thought Mike Singletary could win Superbowls.

Jed became president in Dec 2008 the same day that Singletary was given his contract to be HC. Tomsula was a dline coach at the time. So Jed passed on Tomsula for Singletary.

Sure seemed that way, the leaks from "guys in suits" started back in the preseason or at least very early on. If they decided they wanted jim gone at the end of the season thats fine but letting out leaks while we where still playing meaningful games was bush league.

jackleg, the fine people of SFO had every opportunity to vote on huge bond issues, and passed on them each and every time. In fact, San Franciscans as a group, did little or nothing to keep the team in SFO. The fact Candlestick was still standing is amazing, and moreso, that jed got a $1.2 B stadium financed. That is a phenomenal feat. Remember, he could have taken the franchise to LA or someplace else. So Jed did keep the team here, and we should never forget that. Remember that the SF 49ers are still in the Bay area, and that is good enough for me. We all owe jed a debt of gratitude, altho there are a number of folks who just gloss over that feat. And, he is one helluva lot better owner than his dad, the good doctor yoooooork.

Fantastic, everyone's back!
We need to be defending our unquestioned leader and face of the franchise Jed York.
Did Jed move the team away from San Francisco? Yes he did. But hey, he could of moved to LA or Ohio or just liquidated the entire franchise, so 49er fans count yourselves lucky the 49ers are still in existence. Whew!
And about our previous coaching regime, Jed knew they were going to suck last year, that's why he leaked out that this was going to be their last year coaching before the season even started!!! I mean this guy is a visionary, he knew Jim Harbaugh was going to stink it up, before anyone. He also knew that Jim would want to leave after stinking it up, so he let him leave, he let him go coach where he obviously wanted to be the entire time, Michigan.
Jed has a vision, and like most autocratic leaders with visions, he cannot be bothered with the myopic needs of those that do not see it the same way. A vision of winning superbowls, not losing them, and doing it in a way that reflects the standards and characteristics that are embodied in this ownership.
A new era has begun, a new leader has emerged. A single man with the ability to epitomize an entire franchise and fan base, Jed York.

The facts are that Jed/Baalke had already decided to fire him before the season even started. They have implied it by their actions before the season, during the season, and what they confirmed after the season. The only ones that checked out on this team were Jed/Baalke.

I agree that the team needed fresh blood. Just look at their demeanor and play, no way they had anymore faith left in their coach. His sh*t got old very fast. Harbaugh didn't fix anything. Instead, management got them Boldin on an awesome deal, Stevie Johnson, drafted Hyde and still had Crabtree and VD, and yet, Harbaugh in all his greatness and glory, couldn't muster a goddam thing with this team. If you're a play-off caliber team who's standard is to make the play-offs every year, this kind of sh*t is not tolerable. Maybe for the Jags, not the Niners. Not for York and Baalke. Harbaugh was Carroll's b***h, and you're not going to win any division titles, let alone national titles, when you're in the front pocket of your rival team's coaching staff.

This is somewhat understandable.
But getting rid of the rest of the staff and replacjng them with position coaches that were already here (FRESH BLOOD?) is where most people tAke issue.

maybe during the interview process, they convinced Baalke of the correct changes that needed to be done to be successful. maybe the previous HC was too stubborn to implement some of those ideas. you realize these previous other position coaches have first hand experience with these players. that's a good thing.
