Fair enough if you think James didn't get a fair shake here...but why has he not been picked up or even sniffed at by other teams?

He will either wear 22, which he wore in Miami, and is available with Chris Cook gone, or he will buy 25, his number in NO, from Jimmie Ward. Those would be my guesses.
If the 49ers havent let a single player wear number 97 for the 7 years since BY retired, they arent going to let anyone wear 21 or 52.
We are a team with way too many retired numbers. Honor the players and their numbers and move on. With the exception of Montana, Rice, and Young IMO all numbers should be open.

Well that's a fair assessment since you haven't seen bush play

Bush is probably much cheaper and SHOULD have more tread on his tires

I like Reggie Bush, but I believe this means we are definitely not drafting Duke Johnson
.
I think this can be a decent pickup depending on how Geep Chryst uses him. We have the potential for a very explosive offense this year. Reggie Bush doesn't have to be his 2009 self, just fast enough. Add in a healthy Vernon Davis, Torrey Smith, Ellington or Patton, and Anquan Boldin, and I think we can do the unthinkable- average 25 points a game.
