It's really hard to believe this guy has been in the league for 9 years and has come nowhere close to anything everyone imagined he'd be. It's also hard to believe I wanted him soooo bad in light of Franks career vs Reggies.

Perhaps my sarcasm didn't come across.

He will either wear 22, which he wore in Miami, and is available with Chris Cook gone, or he will buy 25, his number in NO, from Jimmie Ward. Those would be my guesses.
If the 49ers havent let a single player wear number 97 for the 7 years since BY retired, they arent going to let anyone wear 21 or 52.
We are a team with way too many retired numbers. Honor the players and their numbers and move on. With the exception of Montana, Rice, and Young IMO all numbers should be open.
Way too many? Were a team that has had a TON of HOF level players.
The roster is 53 players, and there are 99 numbers. I think having like 10-15 retired is ok. In sports, retiring a number is the greatest sign of respect a team can give to a player. If the player earned it, he should get that honor.

Definitely, especially if you consider what he did for us during the dark years.
... Imagine if he played for us during the glory years, there wouldn't be a single doubt his number should be retired.

It's okay. It made an appearance on my radar. I think you did a bang up job.
