2005: 26/17
2006: 20/6
2007: 18/19
2008: 16/18
2009: 31/21
2010: 22/13

He makes his teams better. He went to Ny and CLE with bad teams. Made the defense better

LOL context changes everything.

Biggest drawback of Tomsula is lack of coordinator/HC experience.

Look at the hires/interviews.

Sparano: Ex-HC
Mangini: Ex-HC
Fewell: Ex-DC
Tarver: Ex-DC

Even the ASSISTANT O-Line coach was a HC in college.

All of these guys were well enough regarded as coaches to obtain a higher level coaching job and are returning to their roots.
Fewell also served as interim head coach in Buffalo in 09 they went 3-4 after going 3-6 before he took over.

That's what I'm noticing too. All the assistants being brought in are very experienced and have held higher positions in the past. The fact we can bring these guys in is a good sign. Gives the staff a lot of credibility. Hopefully any potential OC candidates (Chudzinski!!!) will see the quality staff being put together and make the jump to SF.

Even Geep and the OL coach Forester have been OC's

Good points, can make arguments about success or fail, but coaches have experience.

I think peeps need to get over Fangio.

I know its been reported that he was "fired", but the reality is that he was never gonna stay when Tomsula was hired as HC.

Fangio leaving IMO was just as much his decision as SFs.

Once you accept that they liked Tomsula enough to risk losing Fangio, things make a bit more sense.

Yes because good coaching has never made bad teams good. Its all about who is on the roster....
So mangini is official? Not too bad.

Then there's firing harbaugh, and obviously downgraded the coaching staff. And asks us as fans to hold him accountable. But as most of the fans that go to games now are not real fans so not buying a tticket won't help. Punching him in the mouth and telling him why after would

Every fan feels there owner is the worse. As far as the stadium goes, the players seems to love it better at the new place. You say new fans suck, how do you know how many are new fans? Even if they are new fans, how can you really say they are not real fans. I have been a fan since the late 60's but live in Hawaii, so if I were able to afford a ticket after moving there, I am not a real fan? Stupid Almost everybody else thinks the stadium is better, most of those complaining are the ones that don't like change or didn't want it moved outside SF from what I have been reading.

Not the Patriots, Seahawks, or Packers fans, to name a few. And not 49ers fans, when Eddie owned the team. The Yorks have been a downgrade plain and simple. And we are in the midst of a major coaching downgrade, no matter how anyone tries to sugarcoat it.

He did make those bad defenses better over his time with those teams. He left them in a better position than when he got there.

I wonder if Indy would move Chud to OC and fire Pep in order to keep Chud.
