Classless? Maybe. Cheap? Last I checked we had one of the most (if not the most) expensive coaching staff in the league.

Nonsense. The front office keeps telling everyone they're all about "winning with class". Which obviously means screwing over the entire staff that made the team relevant for the first time after a decade of front office and ownership f**kups.

All in all this is biggest coaching gamble from top to bottom I can remember any team ever making. Baalke and York have essentially invested 100% of their legacy into the performance of this team over the next 3 years.

Does that mean fired, released, they "parted" ways? WTF, DOES IT MEAN, JERRY?

I'd want the next DC to stay with a pattern matching scheme. Fangio/Donatell have been teaching this very well the past 4 seasons and it would be a shame to abandon it. But if they can't get a good teacher for it, then don't hang on to it just to hang on to it.

No idea what Tarver is all about. Just know he didn't have much to work with in OAK so I'd give him a pass if he came on board.

I'd be okay with Wade Philips. He'd be a safe pick and would bring a (mostly) 3-4 system so there wouldn't too much change as far as individual responsibilities among the front 7. More blitzing and more press man coverage. Would probably result in getting more sacks/turnovers while also giving up more chunk plays. I know people are more more interested with the OC search (based on thread activity), but this is the side of the ball that needs to remain top5 for any chance of success next season.

you realize, Fangio had bad ranked defenses when he wasn't coaching here.

Tarver's 1st season 2012 took them from (29th) to 18th in 1 year. And thats with a bad defense. Thats before Mack, Tuck, etc...
