I'd say the odds of this happening are 99%, but I'd be really thrilled if they went with the other 1% and signed a guy like Schwartz with legit credibility right off the bat.

HC-Tomsula
OC-Dennison, Trestman or even Chud
DC-Schwartz

Surrounded by some very good assistants.....I'd be up for that! They could even make Tarver the LB coach.

Me too.

Schwartz reminds me of Nolan - VERY good DC but not as a HC.

Isn't Tarver they guy that wears eye black?
we just need a good coach. the defense is flexible which is why we can even switch to a 4-3 and not really miss a beat.
talent people. talent. let's get the best talent at everything including coaches.

Jason Tarver's scheme looks to mix it up and come with a lot of different looks and coverages. He is rooted in a 3-4 scheme (OLB coach for 49ers for 6 seasons) even though he ran a 4-3 in OAK in his first stint as DC. Trying to learn more...

Last week, Alex Smith, considered one of the smartest signal-callers in the league, admitted the Raiders confused him at times in Kansas City's eventual 24-7 victory.

"They did a great job mixing it up," said Smith, who was sacked three times in the first quarter.

"I felt like we never could get a read on it, on what they were doing … they just kept rolling through the calls and mixing it. They did a great job. They caught us off guard a few times. They caught me off guard."

I wouldn't be upset with Tarver necessarily as he seems like a very bright, up and coming young coach. But I do see him as more of a wild card than Schwartz who has certainly established his credentials as the DC for multiple teams.

Just the year before they were 20th in points per game.

I'm predicting whatever s**t team Fangio goes to won't have a top 7 defense. I'd say top 10 depending on what team it is.

If he end up on the Redskins with Scott drafting that Defense will be one of the best in a few years.
