still disagree. he missed a year of development with the acl injury came back from it and got through the season and improved each week which is what he would've done last season given the opportunity. it hasn't even clicked completely yet but another off season of actually working and not just studying tape might have him prime to have a real breakout season.
Well for what it's worth I'm not trying to get you to agree with me, I'm merely just stating my case. You will never agree with what I reply with cause you see what you wanna see. You wanna bring up that Cox has been out with an ACL injury in 2013, yet you give no same reasoning with Cox who has started consistent games since 2010 and has only 3 more starts than Culliver. Multiple times I've asked from two posters that have targeted my responses in this thread to show me not just stats but the differences in the stats with the different situations they were in.
Reason I ask, getting beat for this catch here is way different.......
......than getting beat like this for a catch.
It's not me seeing what I want to see. It's me seeing something and the stats actually backing me up with what I see. You just can't accept being wrong.
Culliver out with an ACL injury and not getting the chance to build on what he started is way different than cox just flat out being healthy and not getting a chance because the coaching staff didn't think he should. He wasn't even on the team for a stretch last season, he was on Seattle or are we going to act like that didn't even happen?
When you asked for the stats they favored Culliver
When you asked for the difference they favored Culliver.
And to finish your post you bring up a play from his initial campaign with playing time on the field like his stats and the eye test don't show he's a different player.
All you see and can't get over is the super bowl. His longest pass given up is 20 yards SHORTER than cox's
So getting beat 20 yards shorter no matter how you want to slant it in favor of the guy you like is still getting beat 20 yards shorter.
You're going to keep digging and digging until it gets turned around but it won't because nothing supports it.
Cox made more splash plays in the beginning of the season. Culliver was rock solid in the 2nd half of the season. There is no clear winner and judging by upside I believe culliver if we absolutely had to choose would be the better choice.
I want both of them to come back.
How am I wrong, you haven't proved that yet. You post NOTHNG to back your claim up, only one backing you up is DeUh,

DeUh isn't backing me up. the stats that DeUh is posting is backing me up. saving me the trouble of you referring to what you think you saw which turns out to be untrue.
i want both.
you want cox just say you want him cause you like him better not based off of something that happened in the super bowl
cause it's clearly not based off the season he ended up having now is it?

This is why I say we were rather outcoached or the Ravens were coached to cheat and pull out all the stops to beat us. We got hosed by the refs outplayed and out coached. No way we should have lost to an inferior team as we didOriginally posted by 49AllTheTime:Right before that busted play in the SB, Cully had a for sure INT..but Smith interefered big time..and should have been an OPI...but like most of the game..no call
Cully is a beast..and was getting back to himself at the end of the season

i dont think cully ever played slot. when he came in on the nickel, he'd go outside and one of the starters would shift inside. i'm fairly certain rogers used to always go inside in the nickel and cully take his spot.

cullliver is far superior. if you dont see it you're still sore about the SB.
and in that case you better also want hte QB gone who threw away the playoff game last yr. forget one play.
culliver looks like he's bordering on elite level press man to man coverage. numbers back it up.
what some people "see" or "feel" doesnt mean anything when the numbers overwhelmingly show that cullly is likely by far the best cover corner we have.
inside or out.

By Week 6, Cox was a potential pro bowl candidate... but then just tailed off.
