Jackson was a good addition, no?

LOL! Yes, it is all so tempting to hope for the big splash...until year two or three and they want to renegotiate or are injured...and the bills come due. Baalke will wait until a guy has fewer options and pick him off for a reasonable salary.

PFT's Mike Florio believes the package will be headlined by a 2013 second-round pick or a future first-rounder due to the fact Revis is still in rehab mode from a torn ACL.
I don't want him either Phoenix. To me he just isn't the right player for us at this time and where he is at.

He was good... good enough for 7-9. Maybe Revis can push it to 9-7 (and still miss the playoffs)

Yes he was, but for the $12 mil a year they are going to have to pay him for 3 years after this season....it will limit their flexibility with the amount of dead money involved.

Same here, and we can do a 2 or 3 year deal.

I think a change of scenery, being back in the Bay Area, plus being used in a fashion that properly utilizes his skillset could be a huge boost for him.

No way we get Revis.
Unless we are going all out for a 1 to 2 year Superbowl run. Cause we'd never be able to resign all the players we'd want to keep in the very near future.
Just look at the Ravens this year and it can be said that we have a deeper and more talented roster that is younger and will want to be paid in the second contract.

Yeah, would rather save up for our young guys and keep our chances going for 5+ years and not start signing players at the end of their career and go all in for a year or two.
Phoenix, did you watch Asomaugha last year? Do you think he struggled because he was playing zone and he's more of a physical man coverage guy

5 teams are said to be in a bidding war for Revis -
Falcons, Lions, Eagles, Tampa and 49ers…
I hope it's the 49ers, you guys got a lot of picks to give away.
