I dont wanna give up on Braylon , he is a talented WR and has been battling injuries all year, I'm sure next year he will be much more effective
but as for right now we have to find a way to use him, he should be a dangerous weapon in the redzone if him and Alex can build a little chemistry....we need Braylon to take some pressure off Crabtree and Davis ......I can only imagine how good our offense would be if Morgan never would have got hurt

Why? Point blank, he sucks right now and has sucked all year. Why waste time with a guy who's showed nothing all year? At this time in the season rosters should be getting shorter, not longer. It's not like our offense has a lot of margin of error to begin with.
And it's not a chemistry thing. Braylon's just not getting open. And as an aside: let's all remember that this guy's on his third team in three years, and the other two didn't exactly break the bank to try and keep him.
It was a nice little gamble to sign him. It failed. The team needs to accept the failure and cut its losses. We're trying to win a championship.

Why? ..because we need playmakers on the field when we are in the redzone ...and it's not just his fault for the failures in the redzone, everyone has to take some of the blame for these failures ..and Braylons size could be used to attack the endzone, Davis and Crabtree should also be more productive in this area, but it's our biggest weakness and it needs to be fixed, granted Braylon has been hurt, but we shouldnt give up on him just yet, we cant single him for the teams failures and throw him under the bus ...and I wouldnt say he sucks, he is a talented WR , everyone has troubles when dealing with injuries ..but hopefully on monday we can get some contributions from all of our skill players ..we need everyone to chip in and make our offense more productive

The 49ers definitely need someone to do what Harbaugh hoped Edwards could do...and they need it NOW! The problem is, as we all know, he has not been healthy enough to play even close to his prior level. It isn't even clear if he can practice at full speed. He clearly is not in sync with Smith as of this last game.
We can only hope he is able to contribute in a major way come playoff time...but "hope" may be all we get.

You guys as long as we have Alex at QB, our targets will never get used. The most gifted TE ever in Davis then we have delanie, crabs and Braylon who had a great season last year. So why the heck would he dip in production so quick? Because we have a hesitent Qb who's afraid to throw a pass

It would help, but do they really need that? What did they do last year?

How is Davis the "most gifted TE ever"? Because he runs a 4.4 forty? Braylon caught 53 balls for 903 yard last year. That's a great season?

We all wish. The truth is, Vernon Davis is not even one of the top 5.
Of all the good blocking TEs in the league, Davis is the fastest. That is all we can really say about him. He has major flaws in his receiving skills. We are in love with what we WANT him to be and in so doing, we are overlooking the fact he is a very limited pass receiver.
