He's not the same guy he was before he got injured though. He can't do the same things, and he's really rusty.
He was signed to be that tall guy you can trow the ball up high too. So far he has shown a complete inablity to make that catch. Kyle WIlliams has more reliable hands.

He could very well be feeling the effects of the injury, but I just don't trust the guy. He always seems to be on a different page when the ball is thrown. ALex hasn't had that issue recently with Crabtree, Ginn, or Williams.

He's injured and probably has a drinking problem.

honestly the guy shouldve stayed 81 and not 17.. started a new resume with us and leave the 17 in the past.
I agree, if he can get back to they way he normally plays he makes our offense better especially in the redzone, but if his health is not gonna allow him to be that player then I dont want to see him on the field cuz he is hurting us

Drinking led to his injury...maybe
All comes down to practice. Its said that solid practices through the week generally transfer over to the games. If BE looks good in practice and his head is right, then play him. If he looks sluggish, doesn't get the routes sharply, and can't hang on to passes, bench him.
I would love it if he was playing to potential, or anywhere near. Right now he is just tying up a roster place. Maybe next year?
He needs to practice more and the offense needs to use him better.

He can't run precision/underneath routes. Just have him run up the sideline and have Alex chuck it - that's how Mark Sanchez did it.
We need to use Braylon and get him on the same page with Alex, just like we need to use Ginn and get him not to drop passes and look for the ball and use Vernon and Delanie and get them not to drop the balls.
That play you posted was also against Walter McFadden, who is no longer on the team for obvious reasons......

what we need is a tall receiver that'll go up and get the ball. That's what Edwards is supposed to do, but he can't stay healthy.
With the #62 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft...
The San Francisco 49ers select...

Lunacy? Haha, no... I think not. The 49ers new regime has shown that they prize freak potential over taking the safe bets. After Streeter gets done with the NFL Combine, he will soar up draft boards. At an easy 6' 4" and 215 lbs, Streeter opens some eyes with his 4.4 speed and deep threat abilities. We could be talking "the next Randy Moss" here, only Streeter has a rather shy and mature team-first disposition. The Niners want a huge target at WR to develop, and can take Streeter's development at as careful a pace as need be. This kid will draw extra coverage... give opposing coordinators headaches, and open up the field for our other weapons. He can also block well, and that's a must in SF's offense.

Welcome to the WC, Tommy... now let's go get ring #6.
