Agreed. If I could hibernate until then, I would.

What is concerning me is the amount of frustration and discontent that seems to be brewing.

VD is frustrated

Crabtree is frustrated

Gore is frustrated - although that is probably more so about his injury

Braylon is highly discontent with his role.

I'd bet the defense is a bit frustrated with the anemic RZ scoring after they deliver short fields.

Now the question is -- is that frustration starting to focus on ASmith not getting the ball to players, which might happen regardless of how the OL is playing. Receivers might not sympathize with the QB being under pressure, they just fee like, "well, if you're under pressur, just throw me the darn ball."

Or is the frustration about the play calling and scheme -- in other words, toward the coaches? You can tell that Gore, VD, and some lineman really supported ASmith after his/their time under Sing and Nolan. They may want the coaches to "let Smith wing it more" instead of being so cautious. But caution is probably as much a Smith trait as the coaches.

The coaches need to get this in check ASAP. With a recent history of losing and frustration, it doesn't take much for old feelings to resurface.

If some of these guys are frustrated, then they must be because of looking in the mirror at themselves. Because what I see are guys making a lot of mistakes, a RB & WR who are hurt, but good playcalling & solid coaching for once. This does not seem like a team that has any doubt at all about the coaches plans, so I think that there is no controversy there. And as a fan, this looks like the most creative offense we have seen in many years, as for playcalling. But when balls keep bouncing off guys hands, or they look lost out there running routes I think that is on the players, not playcalling. They should be frustrsated with themselves for not looking like the pros they are.

hopefully losing like that to a crappy team will be the catalyst we need to hit the next gear.

I don't think the Cards are that crappy right now. They just beat the Cowboys and the Niners. Their defense was tough. We just got killed giving up the two big passes, and the lack of production in the red zone, of course. I'm guessing this is a coaching/play selection issue because as awful as the Niners used to be, the one area they shined was red zone proficiency. That was Alex Smith's strong suit. The injuries to Morgan and Edwards are hurting us.

the cards may not be crappy, I guess, but they still aren't as good as us. their entire offense was three big plays. that's a game we should win.

They need to air the ball out more.
LMAO Seriously??? HearstFan Thank you so much I was actually starting to believe through winning all the whining was starting to finally die down... So my question is who told you this? VD? Crabs? Edwards? Gore? I mean yeah Gore should be mad, still looking for that contract right? I think the O line is more frustrated then anyone... Don't you??? It's got to be hard knowing your sloppy, not bad, but sloppy play has contributed to two of our three losses... Oh wow 3 losses I'm sorry I actually started writing like we were at the end of another losing season. Hmmm, well then.

Sometimes you damn 40whiners really should just stop trolling and go cheer for another team, it gets old and fast!!! Your like a bunch of little kids whos parents took them out for Ice Cream but you throw a fit and start crying you didn't get sprinkles... Were ten and three, probably finish 12 and 4 maybe even 13 and 3 if we have a good game sunday. Stop reading NFL.com power polls, I know were not number 2 anymore but all it is is a popularity contest, if we had lost to anyone they would have dropped us.

We all get it, the 49ers ownership sux, alex is holding the team and our coaches back, our coaches don't call the right plays , our receivers don't know what a football looks like, and everyone who makes a mistake is frustrated... Fail!!!
