Yup, JT is one of my favorite Niners of all time. I'm fortunate enough to be able to know him IRL and actually watched the championship game with him last weekend. If you heard him on 95.7 recently i'm part of "the crew". He's a cool dude.

can we fire up the delorean and bring him back to the future so Alex has a WR to actually throw it to?

Glad I was able to see him play against the Rams in 95(my first 49er game). Norton scored 2 TD, Rice 1. Actually think Taylor scored the first TD from Grbac. Dang can't remember. But regardless one of my favorite 49ers. Definately showed up on gameday

Taylor was a #2, Crabtree is our #1, what does that tell you how our receiver corps now compares to the good ole days?

I still think he's one of the most underrated wide receivers who ever played but I guess thats what happens when you play alongside Jerry Rice, Taylor's play also helped Rice make plays because while Rice was hard to cover so was Taylor. Taylor and Rice the best WR combo to ever play.

What was he saying about the game? Should have some real insight on receivers!

Suspended for four games. And that was it? That's a far cry from your original statement of:
same guy that had drug problems MANY times, costing him games to play in and costing us when it happened.
We also won the Super Bowl that season, so, while it may have cost him some games, it sure didn't cost "us" anything in terms of an overall championship.
But, water under the bridge.
I ain't going there about T.O. Dude's a curse on football. Niners should have cut his bu** when he started to turn into a jerk. You're confusing the word "cancer" with the term "championship caliber football player."
The latter applies to John Taylor.
T.O. is a curse.
T.O. is a curse....That's why he has a winning percentage of .580 in his career. That's why he put up 8 catches for 120 yards on one leg in the suprerbowl when Donavan mcNabb decided to get tired in the 2 minute drill at the end. Yeah, he's a total curse all right...A curse for whiny sheep fans like you that believe everything you hear in the media.
Last i checked, Owens has never missed games due to problems off the field. And I say this as a John Taylor fan.....He had major problems off the field.
Taylor won 3 Super Bowls. He caught the game winner in one of them. Case Closed.

I know peeps will flame me, but I actually see alot of similarities between JT and Crab. I'm not saying he's as good as Taylor, but he doesn't have to be. We just need another guy to play on the other side.

There are too many other factors involved in this? He was only the #2 because the greatest football player of all time was our #1. Imagine if Crabtree had Jerry Rice on the other side and Joe Montana as QB.

"and John Taylor, who sells used cars in the offseason for Reggie Jackson, just hit a home run for the 49ers!"
