Maybe? But I still think we could do better.

exactly... he's a #3, he's barely gonna play if at all. Even if we do sign somebody, say chester taylor, we are only going to pay more money for a guy to sit on the bench... who cares lol

I don't know? I just don't see what value Dixon brings to the team? He's not a bruiser, he can't play FB, and he dances around too much for his size!

Dixon is fine. He's not going to go from competing for the #2 spot to being off the team entirely. He's a talented back and has shown that he can make some plays. He was a sixth round draft pick and just needs some time to figure out his weight to style ratio. Maybe he just needs to lose weight in order to maximize his shiftiness.

i kind of feel like Dixon is a shifty, scat back trapped in a big guys body. I think the criticism that he dances too much for his size is unfair; I just think he is too big for his dancing.
no, I don't know. He definitely needs to get better by next year. A 6th round pick is never a lock and average runningbacks are easy to find.

Come on now its his second season and he has flashed some great runs. No one here has seen Omon run against anyone who will be on an NFL roster yet so how could we possibly say he would do any better?

This. I don't understand what the deal is. The guy was a ROOKIE last year. He was picked in the SIXTH round. Gee whiz, people. Give the guy a freaking chance. He's way, WAY better than Omon, and Omon's in his 4th year. Dixon has power that he can use if he chooses too. Just watch some of his games from college where he was dragging tacklers 10-20 yards down the field en route to a TD. His problem is, being a big back, he doesn't think he can fit in the holes and so he tries to bounce it outside.
He has exceptional mobility for a big man and is a great #3 who makes a nice 1-2-3 punch with Gore's all-around attack and Hunter's speed. I am super surprised people are acting like he's been around forever and is some awful player. Give him a chance. Geez.

I think Dixon is a good back up, not sure that he is starter talent. Hunter looks like he could be a very good starter.

I hope he figures it out... and hope he ditches twitter... that s**t is a distraction. ie: Arian Foster... and Chris Johnson...
He danced as well last year. Singletary wanted him to stop dancing. He is like a college QB who expects his wr to get more separation, well he expects a bigger hole, when the RB coach will tell him that its as big as its gonna get.
