I would say keep both. Move Heitmann over to RG (his natural position) and keep Baas at C (his natural position) All will be well and birds will not fall from the sky.
We could play Heitman at C then use Baas to solve that pesky Chilo problem we have.

I think Baas has found his calling. Baas was not very good at guard, but he has shown promise as a center this season. I love Heitmann, but he is getting up there in age and has injury concerns. If we don't draft a guard to replace Chilo, I know Heitmann can do the job. He played guard early in his career before replacing Jeremy Newberry.

found his calling? Baas was the best C coming out of college. Only the 49ers decided to try him at G.

I like this idea. That way we have a reserve that has good experience with the current line. Heitmann is getting older but i believe he can be a good backup for the G and C positions.

We need to address the center situation either in the draft or via free agency. Heitman was technically sound, but he isn't very strong for his size.

I think Heitmann is a vet so is more mature then Bass. I would like him at center and see Bass replace chilo at RG.

Baas for sure. Didn't Heitmann have a neck issue as well as the broken leg?
