Because Kyle Williams is injured and he's our best option at KR/PR right now...
Ginn has been the most productive player at the position for us all year.

Just watch the game tommorow, watch for it. Ths guy aims for the sidelines on every return.

The guys is a slim speedster. Not the type you want lowering his shoulder and trying pound out a couple more yards. Especially since he's already missed games this year with injury. You may have noticed our return game is actually a functioning unit since he got back there. He's shown flashes of what people expected from him when we got him. There's nobody else on the team that has shown that. You want to jump all over him for not pounding out the end of runs, but you have to play smart.

Its not so much that I want him to try and run through people. I just don't want him to shake one guy then hit the ground or look for the sidelines. I want to see some Joshua Cribbs, Devin Hester type effort. I want to see this guy actually try to take it to the house. I have also noticed him alligator arming several passes this year. I just think if we are truley a smashmouth team then even the special teams guys need to take on the mindset. Like I said, I'm not looking for this guy to steamroll anybody. I really encourage you to watch him closely tommorow and you will see exactly what I mean.

I just didn't see any excuse last week when he alone had the power to give us great field position for the tying field goal and rather then try to shake some tackles, he hits the ground without contact. That in a nutshell is whats wrong with our team this year. Sometimes its like they just don't want to win.
He's 180 pounds soaking wet. We've got linebackers on my high school team that weigh more than he does. His job is to run around people, it's the other 10 guys on the return team that need to run through people.

You really don't need to keep telling me to watch the game tomorrow, or this or that specifically. I've seen every single Niner game for over 25 years, and been to every home game for over a decade. I watch every single game 3 or 4 times on recording to pick out player performances. You're not the only one who watches for things like that. Ginn is currently the best we have. He was cutting back his runs early on, trying to make too much happen. Now he's getting up field more, but he'll go down when he's gonna get clobbered, or go out of bounds.

And don't compare him to Cribbs and Hester. They are sensational stars returning the ball. Ginn, while talented, isn't quite on that level.

He gave it good effort. If he was a "softy" he would have kneeled for the touchback (which would have been better since we would have had more time on the clock and better field position). This season, Josh Cribbs has fumbled 3 times on kick/punt returns, and has much lower average return yards than Ginn. I think part of the reason for this is he is always trying to "take it to the house".

Oh boy I'm not saying that he is Cribbs or Hester. Nor am I saying he is capable of being as good as them. I am just saying I would like to see the same type of effort. I don't remember saying I was the only one to watch the games either. I was just trying to centralize your focus on him for a short period of time tommorow, as like me earlier this season, maybe you haven't noticed it as much, just like I didn't till a few weeks ago. We will just have to agree to disagree here man.

Shew, doesn't take long for people to get their "panties in a bunch" here, huh?
