Ginn has been the most productive player at the position for us all year.

Just watch the game tommorow, watch for it. Ths guy aims for the sidelines on every play.

The guys is a slim speedster. Not the type you want lowering his shoulder and trying pound out a couple more yards. Especially since he's already missed games this year with injury. You may have noticed our return game is actually a functioning unit since he got back there. He's shown flashes of what people expected from him when we got him. There's nobody else on the team that has shown that. You want to jump all over him for not pounding out the end of runs, but you have to play smart.

Its not so much that I want him to try and run through people. I just don't want him to shake one guy then hit the ground or look for the sidelines. I want to see some Joshua Cribbs, Devin Hester type effort. I want to see this guy actually try to take it to the house. I have also noticed him alligator arming several passes this year. I just think if we are truley a smashmouth team then even the special teams guys need to take on the mindset. Like I said, I'm not looking for this guy to steamroll anybody. I really encourage you to watch him closely tommorow and you will see exactly what I mean.

I just didn't see any excuse last week when he alone had the power to give us great field position for the tying field goal and rather then try to shake some tackles, he hits the ground without contact. That in a nutshell is whats wrong with our team this year. Sometimes its like they just don't want to win.

You really don't need to keep telling me to watch the game tomorrow, or this or that specifically. I've seen every single Niner game for over 25 years, and been to every home game for over a decade. I watch every single game 3 or 4 times on recording to pick out player performances. You're not the only one who watches for things like that. Ginn is currently the best we have. He was cutting back his runs early on, trying to make too much happen. Now he's getting up field more, but he'll go down when he's gonna get clobbered, or go out of bounds.

And don't compare him to Cribbs and Hester. They are sensational stars returning the ball. Ginn, while talented, isn't quite on that level.

Oh boy I'm not saying that he is Cribbs or Hester. Nor am I saying he is capable of being as good as them. I am just saying I would like to see the same type of effort. I don't remember saying I was the only one to watch the games either. I was just trying to centralize your focus on him for a short period of time tommorow, as like me earlier this season, maybe you haven't noticed it as much, just like I didn't till a few weeks ago. We will just have to agree to disagree here man.

Shew, doesn't take long for people to get their "panties in a bunch" here, huh?

All your replies have been whiny and you're complaining about people getting their panties in a bunch?

Fail. No one is liking this guys posts because he doesn't have Red Bars next to his handle.

Fail cause his whining about Ginn Returning the ball instead of Hill is stupid.

I give up. When this has turned into me whinning about Jason Hill not returning, the original point has been lost. I was asked who else could return kicks and I gave a few names. I simply inquired about why Ginn plays with no toughness. I did not attack his potential nor did I say he was a terrible returner. I said the guy didn't display any toughness. We can back and forth all day about his size and this and that. There are plenty of guys in the league smaller not afraid to take a hit. I inquired about him alligator arming passes this season and was upset he didn't try harder on that last kick off last week. I guess if all that is good enough for you guys then its good enough for me. I atleast succeeded in one thing. This may be the first time I have seen nearly every webzoner agree in a thread. My job is done then

When your team is 1-6, I'm pretty sure a lot of people are whining . BTW I just was trying to make an observation and discuss. If thats whinning to you, then I suggest you actually google the meaning of "whinning" .

Sadly, you have a point . Ah well atleast I can sit back and laugh at all the troll accusations now.
Ginn shouldn't be returning kicks.

He does not show the suckiness that this coaching staff requires.

What do you want him to do? relax and get paid? maybe put himself as a QB? or maybe tell the coaches I'm not returning kicks anymore.
Another head-scratching NT thread. I no longer feel nervous about punt returns being muffed thanks to Ginn. He's very good back there.

While Ginn is a definite upgrade over previous returners, you make valid points which some refuse to acknowledge, preferring to deflect the arguments elsewhere. Don't let it discourage you. I think Ginn's ok, except in the toughness dept, but I also note that he's not exceptionally quick either. Fast yes, quick, no. I don't recall yet seeing that burst of acceleration I was expecting when we signed him. If he had the quickness to match his purported speed, I believe he would have substantially more yardage than he's gotten. Add toughness to that equation, and you'd then have something! But hey, beggars can't be choosers and he's the best we've had in a while and the best we've got, until we can see what a healthy Kyle Williams can do. Kyle, on the other hand, does not quite have Ginn's top end speed, but is decidedly quicker, which may serve him better in the return game. How tough? No idea. So, in answer to your original question, he's still returning kicks because there's no one better that's healthy.

why is this guy complaining about Ginn?? Because of him, the offense usually has pretty good field position.
