This year that seems like a good reason to stop him!

If not then WHO?...your question is leading to the fact that you want GINN out of the return game. Why do that if he's been the "most productive player at that position for us"??

then you make an argument that he runs to the sidelines to much? if he's being productive and still running to the sidelines, I'll take that all day as oppose to staying on the field and put more "effort" and potentially get rocked and fumble the ball for an extra 2 feet.

if not Ginn then who????

Jason Hill has got some good speed. Brian Westbrook is a proven playmaker with the ball in his hands and were not exactly using him in the offense. I've seen Delanie Walker look decent before. There are other options to look at in my opinion. It looks like I'm riding solo on this one though. Like I said, I'll just have to agree to disagree.

Just watch the game tommorow, watch for it. Ths guy aims for the sidelines on every play.

The guys is a slim speedster. Not the type you want lowering his shoulder and trying pound out a couple more yards. Especially since he's already missed games this year with injury. You may have noticed our return game is actually a functioning unit since he got back there. He's shown flashes of what people expected from him when we got him. There's nobody else on the team that has shown that. You want to jump all over him for not pounding out the end of runs, but you have to play smart.

Its not so much that I want him to try and run through people. I just don't want him to shake one guy then hit the ground or look for the sidelines. I want to see some Joshua Cribbs, Devin Hester type effort. I want to see this guy actually try to take it to the house. I have also noticed him alligator arming several passes this year. I just think if we are truley a smashmouth team then even the special teams guys need to take on the mindset. Like I said, I'm not looking for this guy to steamroll anybody. I really encourage you to watch him closely tommorow and you will see exactly what I mean.

I just didn't see any excuse last week when he alone had the power to give us great field position for the tying field goal and rather then try to shake some tackles, he hits the ground without contact. That in a nutshell is whats wrong with our team this year. Sometimes its like they just don't want to win.

You really don't need to keep telling me to watch the game tomorrow, or this or that specifically. I've seen every single Niner game for over 25 years, and been to every home game for over a decade. I watch every single game 3 or 4 times on recording to pick out player performances. You're not the only one who watches for things like that. Ginn is currently the best we have. He was cutting back his runs early on, trying to make too much happen. Now he's getting up field more, but he'll go down when he's gonna get clobbered, or go out of bounds.

And don't compare him to Cribbs and Hester. They are sensational stars returning the ball. Ginn, while talented, isn't quite on that level.

Sounds like you're breakin' down the film with Dingleberry. Thanks for the updates Mr. NFL Scout.

You might want to change your username, GoGiantsHumBaby. If we ever lose to the Giants, some crazy fan here might try to hack & destroy your computer. That was my first initial thought after seeing your name, but then I remembered about the World Series.

Seriously...there are so many things wrong with the team and we're talkin' about 1 guy who is actually doing fine.

I guess you din't see our return game last year when Hill was platooned with everyone else.

GINN is very GOOD. Best we've had returning kicks for awhile. End of story.

Oh boy I'm not saying that he is Cribbs or Hester. Nor am I saying he is capable of being as good as them. I am just saying I would like to see the same type of effort. I don't remember saying I was the only one to watch the games either. I was just trying to centralize your focus on him for a short period of time tommorow, as like me earlier this season, maybe you haven't noticed it as much, just like I didn't till a few weeks ago. We will just have to agree to disagree here man.

Shew, doesn't take long for people to get their "panties in a bunch" here, huh?

All your replies have been whiny and you're complaining about people getting their panties in a bunch?

Fail. No one is liking this guys posts because he doesn't have Red Bars next to his handle.

Ginn's returns have been one of the few bright spots on this years team. The difference between his performances and what we had last season are night and day.

I can understand and appreciate the desire to discuss something, especially something different than what what the forum has been.

However, Ginn is not a problem on this team. I'd rather the kid save his body on returns than try to break tackles, risking injury and turnovers. Not only is he invaluable to special teams at this point, but he is our only real deep threat at WR.

Try not to take things so personally. Your point is valid, he is going to avoid contact. Nobody thinks you're stupid for bringing it up. We're all just raw from a disaster of a season.

Your point about the alligator arms on offense is one that I can be more on board with, though. Can't have our WRs doing that.

WTF? Retarded thread. The guy is doing great on KRs. One of our few bright spots.
