the 9ers will win enough games to give the false hope that we are all accustomed to as well as screw us out of top 5 pick

Why are you so worried about going to the playoffs? So this team can be embarassed on an even bigger stage and Singletary can keep his job another year?
______
Getting embarrassed in the playoffs is far better than getting last place in this historically bad division.
So to answer your questions...
Yes and maybe.
YES
I hope you get your wish, but don't go b***h*g next year with Sing as you coach.
I think Sing will be gone even if the team wins a playoff game... Marty Schottenhiemer was fired after a 14-2 season. It is clear that anything this team does at this point is in spite of the coaches, not because of them.

0-4 on the road thus far. 4 of our last 6 on the road. Nuff said.

This is still realistic has pitiful as it may be. And I'm sorry to all who oppose, I don't care our record. I want the playoffs bad. Anything can happen there honestly. We've shown we're capable of playing with 2 of the best NFC teams this year in the Saints and the Falcons. Yes, we lost, but without key player mistakes, both those games could've been W's.
I'll be rooting my ass of tomorrow, drunk of Four Loko in my cozy little house in Michigan tomorrow. My roommates will be laughing their butts off at me screaming things like "Meet Patrick Mother F*cking Willis, B*tches!". I don't care. We've still got decent odds to make the playoffs.
Not to mention in the past decade, every team, except the Niners, have made it to the Super Bowl. Cardinals in the '08 Season, Seahawks in '05, and the Rams in '02 (and a win in '99). All of those were losses, but this shows you that while yes, we're a weak division, we're capable of something.
Maybe just a little bit of homerism, but no one thought the Cardinals were going to make a Super Bowl run with a 9-7 record. ;)
Go Niners!

Conservative Singletary football... the madness... Chilo Rachal... the cringing pain, cannot watch.
Actually, it is alot like watching a accident on the freeway.......you know it's not going to be pretty and you will probably sees some blood, but you can't help but look.

If our team makes it to the playoffs because of this s**tty division I will support them, but I will know we suck and know we would be lucky to make it past the first round. No matter if we marched to the superbowl and won on the back of one of the Smiths I would still call for the firing of the entire coaching staff.

we said the same thing last week at 3-6, we even made a big deal about being 2 gms back when we were 2-6...i just dont see the point of setting ourselves up for more disappointment...i'll be watching but only in hopes of more sing sideline drama during a primetime telecast
