Purpose: This thread will be updated at the conclusion of each week throughout the entire season. The purpose of this thread is to keep what is happening within the division in perspective. For example, after our Week 1 loss, many said the sky was falling. But what many also forget was that our competition is the Rams, Seahawks and Cardinals. IMO, even if we make the playoffs this year, Singletary is gone either way. There's no way Jed doesn't realize how bad of a coach the guy is.

If we somehow pull out a win, then I believe he will have deserved to stay another year. Sorry fans. But IF that happens, he will have proven to not lose the locker room and make a historic comeback.

A big "if", no doubt. But I'd rather make the playoffs than not. Sorry for wanting to have success this year after years of mediocrity. I'm not going to join the pity party that is the Webzone.

I'm with you about wanting to win.

I think Singletary should still be fired even if we win a playoff game. Superbowl win or fired. Period.

If we make the playoffs, it's because the players won games in spite of the coaching. Add to that the fact that we'd have made it ONLY because we're in the worst division in football.

One playoff win means jack after that. The sun even shines on a dogs ass some days.

I honestly think we'd be Super Bowl contenders right now if we had a coach who knew what a "dad-gum Yahoo commercial" was.

It would be humiliating even if we did somehow make the playoffs. We'd be blown to kingdom come by the Eagles/Giants, or Packers/Saints.

i don't see STL and SEA only winning 2 more games. They aren't great, but they aren't s**t like us. I think its the Rams to lose.

A losing record doesn't deserve to make the playoffs. The NFL should make a special rule for this.
