I saw many comparisons of Anthony Dixon to runningbacks and they all have merit but it seemed to me I had seen a guy who he reminded me most of. I finally remembered who it was and that was Earl Campbell. Earl also had that wild sort of running style and the quick feet. He was also big and nifty for such a big guy.

I remember last year when some of you zoner were looking to start Coffee over Gore becuase of his pre-season. Let's give Dixon some gametime to see if he is for real. And GOD I hope so...he is nice

He didn't do too well in the third preseason game until the 2nd's and 3rd's came in. just for the thread though, I think he looks like a mini-Steven Jackson...

Why all the comparisons to power backs? I haven't seen Dixon plow anyone yet, although Im sure he will eventually, but he just hasn't exhibited true power just yet. With that said, he has great balance, and im diggin that wicked stiff arm, regardless of his size he is also very agile, but no Barry Sanders-but he has a better stiff arm, no Earl Campbell-but might be quicker in small space, not as strong as Bettis-but possibly more dynamic. At the end of the day, we have to see what he can do when it really counts.

He doesn't remind me of Campbell or Bettis. Watching him in the pre-season, I thought he looked similar to Gore.
